Atempause Sauerland Wellness Chalet "Große Sehnsucht"

The ATEMPAUSE chalets are located in the heart of the Schmallenberg Sauerland, surrounded by idyllic forests—on the “Mountain of Tranquility” in Schanze. Built in 2021, these exclusive wooden chalets are a haven of peace and a retreat for true romantics. In this oasis of tranquility, you can truly unwind. Schanze lies slightly west of the summit of the Rothaar Ridge, the main ridge of the Rothaar Mountains, within the Sauerland-Rothaar Mountains Nature Park. The village is located 6.5 km southeast of downtown Schmallenberg and 3.7 km southeast of the Schmallenberg district of Grafschaft, at an elevation of 680 to 732 m above sea level. The ATEMPAUSE chalets are located in the immediate vicinity of the Kyrill Trail—right on the Rothaarsteig.

The “Große Sehnsucht” feel-good chalet features large, light-filled rooms. A modern, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, satellite TV, sound system, fiber-optic internet, and 3 bedrooms provide space for up to 8 people. In the “Große Sehnsucht” chalet, you can relax in the wellness bathroom with a rain shower, whirlpool tub, sauna, Kneipp facilities, and an outdoor shower. A spacious, mostly covered terrace and a private outdoor fire pit with seating stones and an OFYR grill invite you to linger. A lockable storage room, also equipped with a washing machine, clothes dryer, and shoe dryer, is available for bicycles, skis, and other gear. Play equipment for our younger guests is located in the outdoor area. Parking spaces with an electric car charging station in the carport are available.
