Getaway
Nice house close to boat ramp less than .5 miles. Quiet and peaceful. If you stay get peanuts to feed the squirrel very friendly.

Great Getaway
This was a great place to get away with some friends. Enjoyed grilling out in the back and the campfire in the front yard. The house was clean, and it was nice to have some privacy. Close to a lot of things. Thank you!

Thanksgiving and a family wedding
The property itself is great! We were in the area for a family wedding the weekend of Thanksgiving. We had 7 people staying in the house, and a total of 13 people for Thanksgiving dinner. There was plenty of seating (though not enough indoor table space for dinner-we just spread out throughout the house) for everyone to be comfortable and not feel cramped inside. The foosball table and dart board were a huge plus for my teenaged son (though the foosball table could use a little work). They provided lots of supplies (garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.), even including a starter set of firewood for the fire pit out front. Jess was quick to answer messages, and the owner (I’m sorry…I don’t remember your name!) even stopped by to make sure everything was okay. The only thing not perfect for us was the distance from where the wedding and the rest of the family were located. If you’re looking for something out of town and near hiking and the water, the location is great, but not if you need to be close to town. There is a Dollar General just a couple of miles away for quick supplies though. We’d stay again if we were back in the area!

Fishing Getaway
We had two teams that stayed at the residence. There was plenty of room for everyone. Access to local amenities was great as well as close to all boat ramps.

Tournament fet together
Very nice cabin with plenty of parking for 7-8 boats. Plenty of areas to sleep and has enough outside charging recepticales so no need to string cords out windows. Very convenient to Water Front Bay store and ramp. As in less than a mile to launch. Absolutely no complaints about our stay.

Bass tournament oasis
Our crew enjoyed Kudzu Lodge for the second time. The location was perfect, everything worked flawlessly and check-in and out was a breeze. Thank you for everything. We will book again the next time we are visiting Guntersville!

Nice area, nice cabin.
Nice property. Stairs creaky. No TV in the main master. Not enough shelf space in the bathrooms for 9 people. Really peaceful area, no one bothered us. Easily found everything we needed in the surrounding area.. No point traveling to the "stocked ponds", There are closer places to fish.

Great cabin!
We had an awesome experience at this cabin. There was plenty of room for all of us to hang out and plenty of beds too. We were a little disappointed to find out the ponds were so far away, but we found them and our grandsons got to enjoy a great time fishing. I would highly recommend this cabin to my friends, and we look forward to coming back.

Bonding with grandkids
We had 5 adults (grandparents), and 6 grandkids. The home was just right. Plenty of beds, great kitchen, marvelous outside eating spots, large yard for the kids to play in. A/C works great. We all enjoyed the Foosball table, and the house is great for hide-n-seek.

The property was beautiful! We loved the house. However, we were really looking for a place on the lake. We were not on the lake at all and we were not able to get the address until we committed to renting the place. I would like a better description and the address before I book.

Great place to relax and have fun. Lots to do close by.
Everything was perfect. Only criticism I can give to help others in the future would be to add some silverware, cooking utensils and a couple large saucepans. We had nine people and eight forks. Very nice accompdations.

Great space and location. Only complaint was the lack of kitchen supplies. Need some extra silverware, coffee cups etc. Also no large pots or baking sheets at all. If you are going to cook for a group you’ll need to bring pots/pans. Other than that it was fine

Quiet Escape
We enjoyed our stay with 3 adults and 6 kids! It was crazy hot outside so we mostly recharged and had fun inside. The rooms were great to fit all of us and all the seating in the living room allowed us all to spread out! The kitchen is in need of a few essentials - baking sheets, cheese grater, more silverware...but we made it work for us. Hope to return again in the cooler months to enjoy the property more!

Great weekend getaway
We had a great time at the cabin. There was plenty of room for two couples and 5 teens. We even had extra space not used. The only downsides: there wasn’t a master downstairs to keep our parent from having to go up and down stairs & only two bathrooms for a place that sleeps 12. We made it work though! Great location close to Scottsboro or Guntersville.

Great Stay -- Small Improvements Needed
Overall, my friends and I had a great stay and would come back. The cabin is the perfect size for a small - medium get together and offers plenty of places to lounge downstairs and sleep upstairs. All appliances and technology worked well and we loved the firepit! Close proximity to lake access and hiking trails. Couple improvements: 1) None of the downstairs windows have blinds or curtains. Not a lot of privacy, especially at night time with the lights on. 2) The beds are uncomfortable. The mattress I slept on was extremely hard. 3) Towels and linens seemed old and overused -- I would recommend that the owner buy new ones. Thank you for a great stay!!

Quiet fisherman's retreat
Perfect place for six fishing buddies to relax after a long day of fishing. Quiet, spacious property with easy access to nearby boat ramp. Lots of space for boat parking. Found the property very spacious neat and clean. Large front and rear decks for relaxing and sharing fish tales. No hassle check in or out. Owner and contact person were very helpful and friendly. Great time and I am looking forward to renting again soon. I will be recommending this cabin to all of my fishing friends.

Great getaway
This was the first time renting on vrbo and after this experience will definitely do it again. The cabin was spacious, clean and relaxing. My family had a great time. The owners were very nice and helpful. The only thing is the view could of been better but other than that my children who were apprehensive about going now can’t wait to go again.

Beautiful Cabin
We had a really enjoyable time at this rental! Plenty of space for our two families with 4 adults, 4 kids tween/teen size and two toddlers....our only complaint was the dogs from other places - they were not mean but to much for our 3 year old grands that kept getting knocked down.... Connie was awesome to work with and the owner was nice and helpful as well....the access to the other properties is a great addition to this rental as well!

Beautiful secluded log cabin very close to Lake Guntersville
This get away was exactly what our family needed. The log cabin was spacious and beautiful. The only recommendation I have for the owner is to upgrade the mattresses. The beds were pretty uncomfortable, but we rigged them to make them work for us. The owner was very friendly and responsive to questions and issues that we had. Overall a great experience!

Weekend escape
We had 4 adults and 6 children stay at this cabin for a weekend. The cabin is beautiful and we had plenty of room. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The owner equally as great. The location is within a short driving distance to water. The pond access advertised is worth the drive. Employees at the ponds are very kind and friendly. We encountered several of them and felt very welcomed even though we was not staying on site. The only concerning issue we had at our cabin was the neighborhood dogs. My son was knocked down on the rocks by one that was trying to play with him and it injured my son's knees. We are all animals lover but wished we could of enjoyed being outside without of the fear of a dog coming up. Also the upstairs had a slight smell of a dead rat. We sprayed to cover the smell as much as possible. Lastly our 1st night we had no hot water but the owner acted quickly upon calling to report the issue and reset the equipment. Overall we enjoyed our time seeing family and would return despite the few drawbacks.

Enjoyed Our Stay
Connie and the owner of this property are fantastic, we had a peaceful, relaxing stay here and loved all the decks and the space. The living room is awesome for get-togethers with lots of really cushy, comfortable places. The kitchen and dining room also work well for cooking for a large group. Driveway is circular and perfect for multiple vehicles or vehicles with trailers. The property has privacy and multiple shade trees. Decks and place are well-thought out. Staying here created a sense of being together at home.

Bama Great Reunion in Cabin
We had a wonderful time in this cabin. The check-in process was the best I have ever had! The cabin is beautiful, rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Parking for lots of cars! My grandsons had a blast with foosball table & couches/chairs were plentiful. We never felt crowded. We have family in the area so that stopped by for smores. The fire pit was our great wind down. The catch release ponds were easy to find & super nice. The only issue which owners can't help are the stray dogs that we had to listen to bark at night. We are animal lovers but it was annoying. The cabin beds/doors could use lots of WD40 but that could have been the humidity.

Wonderful cabin and memories made here!
My family had a great time at this cabin in the woods. Plenty of comfortable beds! Clean! More towels than we would have ever used! They go over and above to make sure you are taken care of. Connie was such a blessing to us. She is easy to reach out to and always responds right away . We will be back! Thanks again!

The Cabin was bare in amenities.
Example: Towels seemed to be just random old towels. Free WiFi advertised, yet sign in cabin that said “No WiFi in this cabin” No welcome book to tell you how to operate TV and such. No directions to the advertised fishing ponds. The price was nice for a 5 bedroom cabin. This was a so/so experience.

Bob, thanks for your review. This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "Bob, thank you for your feedback on your stay at the Kudzu Lodge located on Benson Road. We recently installed the new Vizio Smart TV at the cabin and it is Wi-Fi ready with Charter/Spectrum cable. We are posting new easy to find WIFI signs. The older instruction sign you noted was on the refrigerator and is being corrected since it was posted before we had Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi code was posted on the bulletin board but needs to be clearer. Each of the bathrooms has a full set of towels but we also put an older collection of towels in the cabin since our fishing guests tend to take and use towels on their boats. We are going to move the older towels to another location and update our towels. Our Welcome book also has restaurant menus listed and will be posted by the TV. It will be updated with some TV directions. We will add the directions to the 3 Fishing Ponds located 10 miles from the Lodge at Kudzu Cove on Buck Island Road.
