Location, location
Very few properties in Sea Ranch have the proximity to water view like this one. Interior and exterior spaces take full advantage of them. Had visits from seals, ospreys & at a respectable distance, a skunk. Great directions for a tricky location to find. Morning treats from Stewart Point only 2 miles away.

Paradise
The pictures in the listing were very inspiring but they can’t capture the true beauty of this spot. The accommodations were great inside and out and the views were amazing. There are beautiful hikes and beaches throughout the area but you could also happily just stay put in this jewel!!!

Needed Respite
Our stay at Standing Wave was a much needed mental health rejuvenation. Everything about the place ( view, size, privacy) was even better than anticipated. We found ourselves just staying home because it was so perfect. Ventured off to the tide pools (low tide) at Pebble Beach and saw a plethora of sea creatures. A magical time at a magical place.

Beautiful Ocean Cottage
The property is exactly as described. We were stunned by the views and proximity to the ocean. The property feels new and up-to-date in every way. The bathroom and shower with jet tub is awesome. I spent hours on the patio enjoying the view. This is a property we will definitely return to one day.

Wonderful and perfect
Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Kitchenette was well stocked with pots and implements. Shower/tub were luxurious. Hope to go back some day.

Supreme Comfort & Stunning Views
My stay at Standing Wave wildly exceeded expectations! The property sits on the bluff with stunning views of lush landscape, wildlife, and the Pacific. I was looking for solitude in nature and this was the perfect property to deliver. Yet it is close enough to Sea Ranch Lodge and Gualala when I wanted to get coffee, grab a bite, or see live music. I spent so many hours in the bluff chair having morning coffee, reading, experiencing dreamy sunsets, and watching birds and migrating whales through my binoculars. When it was rainy and I stayed inside, the floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean kept me connected with nature. The interior is super comfortable with a great bed, strong shower, and a deep jacuzzi soak tub. Checking in was seamless and the property owner's communications were timely and clear. I am so grateful that the owners choose to rent Standing Wave out. It is an one of my all-time favorite property experiences!

Serenity
This property is stunning with a view that never ends. We spent 3 nights and certainly wish it was longer. Along with the waves and endless Pacific, we saw deer, turkeys, and many different birds. There is plenty of space for two and a truly massive bathroom adds to the comfort. We will definitely return.

The Best Retreat Imaginable

Amazing once again...
This was a return visit and it was even better than the first. It was stormy and the owners reached out to make sure we were comfortable. Thankfully, the power stayed on and we were warm, dry and cozy with the added pleasure of a dramatic sea and sky. Hopefully this was the first of many future returns.

A small, stunning, yet cozy cottage in scenic Sea Ranch provided a home base. Hiking along the bluff, reading and relaxing rounded out a perfect three night stay. Nice cafe and restaurant nearby. Hard to leave; hope to be back.

Just a magical place!
FABULOUS sea views! Cozy and comfy. Very clean. Closest market had great quality foods, wines and a great little bakery next door. Very friendly people in the area to chat with. Only complaint is that it doesn't have an oven. Air fryer would be a great addition for cooking meat quickly and cleanly. Everything else was perfection! Couldn't get phone service and getting tv was spotty at best. We are sisters and very chatty so not much of a problem!;

Perfect Getaway

Wow! The View! Amazing!!
I cannot say enough about our experience at this property. I arranged a surprise stay for my husband's birthday, and we were both absolutely amazed by the breathtaking view, the cozy ambiance, and the seamless communication with Brittany. The well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, offering all the essential utensils and even multiple coffee-making options, including a Keurig, which I enjoyed. The spacious bathroom provided so much room for both of us to get ready comfortably. This picturesque property is the epitome of a romantic getaway - complete with a warm fire, fine wine, and a mesmerizing ocean view. We cannot wait to go back!

Amazing. Beautiful property with views that are unforgettable. Everything you need is there. Easy access getting into the property and everything you need is there. Bed super comfy. Shower is awesome. Outdoor deck is just incredible and you can easily walk to sea ranch lodge also. Amenities for pool and tennis courts also top notch. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Amazing getaway!
We had a great stay here, the place is beautiful, everything we needed for a nice getaway and the host was warm and communicative. The view is incredible right when you open the door. There are hikes around but we were mostly content to just hang out with our newborn, listen to the waves and watch the sun go down. It's a well equipped studio, so perfect for a couple.

Sea Ranch Spectacular
The Sea Ranch is a unique and beautiful area, and the Standing Wave guest house is an awesome place to stay and experience it. The guest house window views of the ocean are outstanding, and the property, which is set away from the main house, is a convenient short distance from The Sea Ranch Lodge which is where we ate most of our meals. Our experience sitting in the Adirondack chairs outside the guest house at the edge of the cliff and taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean below were priceless. Thank you to the owners Brittany and Ivy for sharing their wonderful property with us.

Gorgeous Views!
This guest house has the most amazing views over the water for sunrises, whale watching, star gazing, and sunsets. The porch and chairs on the cliff provided such an amazing outdoor atmosphere in addition to the great indoor features and amenities. The location and included passes made exploring Sea Ranch so easy, we had a great time and would happily return!

Incredible Experience
We've been so excited to visit Sea Ranch for years and our stay at Standing Wave exceeded our dreams. It was the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. We saw several whales right from the front windows and had a great dinner at the lodge. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. Brittany & Ivy were so helpful in communicating before and during our stay. We can't wait to come back!

Serene & beautiful
Everything was very clearly spelled out & explained which was helpful. We loved the bottle of wine they left & the restaurant recommendations. But mostly we just took a big deep breath after a busy summer and just soaked up the serenity & beauty of this place. We sat at the adirondacks and watched the water come in & out of the private cove. Mesmerizing. We took a coastal walk, played pickle ball, swam in the nearby pool, and went in the sauna. The whole experience was a special way to celebrate 25 years of marriage!
