Perfect!
We absolutely loved the cottage and experience with our host. It felt like we were staying in someone’s home as special guests. The kitchen was incredibly stocked with everything we needed to make an Easter Brunch. Unfortunately, it rained half of our visit but what a perfect place to be cozy indoors, to relax and enjoy some unusual down time. We can’t wait for our next visit to use the beach chairs and other warm weather amenities. Best rental experience !

Exceptional property
The property was excellent. The house comfortable clean and adorable. Location was fabulous. Walked to the beach, restaurants and shops. Our only complaint is that the owners checkout process was too early (10:00) and expected us to strip the beds, and start the laundry for the next tenant.. Also, his check-in process was overly long and complicated and done in person. It all felt a bit intrusive and took up our vacation time. However, knowing all of that, I would rent it again, but I would be more prepared for the unusual requirements.

Patty: Thank you for the honest 5 star review. ☺️💕 The process for check in is a city suggestion, so guests are comfortable with the house & understand mostly the city expectations of no parties or large gatherings in any Seal Beach vacation rental. On the VRBO web for booking, we 100% share we will check (all guests in). We do make exceptions if needed & would love to have you come back one day and we are sorry the trash & popping the sheets into the wash disrupted your stay. Outstanding location and property!
We thoroughly enjoyed Seal Beach, and this impeccable property to enjoy. The house was spotless and the furniture/decor very impressive, cozy. The owners went out of their way to make us feel "at home" and helped us locate ideal restaurants, etc.

Sublime beach cottage
This location and house “pineapple bungalow” was absolutely sublime. It was so charming had all the amenities so close to the beach and the hosts were nearby and very accommodating and kind! Our family would absolutely stay there again …clean with all the amenities you can imagine in a darling bungalow.

Adorable home
Stayed for 2 days. Was a very comfy and cute home. Owners were friendly and warm and the home very well equipped. Short walk to the beach area. The little town in easily walkable and quaint. Highly recommend

Beautiful Beach Birthday Weekend
My youngest attends CSULB and she absolutely loves Seal Beach. This little town is really a nice hidden gem. This was her surprise Birthday Stay at the Beach weekend and I have to tell you I am so happy I found this adorable Pineapple Cottage which was perfect. We would simply walk into town across the Seal Beach Pier to enjoy the restaurants and cute little shops. The house is beautiful, with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms just made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Kai was a very nice guy that quickly showed us the ropes before he allowed us to enjoy his home at check in. Will definitely want to come again and would have loved to stay much longer. When it came time for us to leave, found out my car batteries died on us, on a Sunday of all days. Kai was so kind to come by so quickly to assist and offer the best places close by to be able to purchase/replace if before our drive back home. Thank you for our wonderful stay! By the way Kudos to Kai for also researching some Hiking ideas close by for my daughter. She was very happy for all the wonderful info. Mahalo nui loa! :) ~Juliette~

Wonderful Property and Hosts!
The Pineapple Cottage is a perfect weekend getaway in the charming town of Seal Beach. Impeccably decorated with a relaxed South Seas kind of feel. The hosts Kye and Elena are definitely Superhosts, very nice and friendly people. Can't recommend their property highly enough! Hope to be back again sometime in the future.

Amazing stay!!
My father, me, and my uncle flew out to see some extended family in Seal Beach. Stumbled across this vrbo listing and I’m so glad we did! Upon arrival the owner greeted us and showed us around the house. This was very welcoming! Throughout our stay they stayed in communication with us and are just very kind people! So kind we bought them a little well deserved pineapple gift! The house speaks for itself- STUNNING. A quick walk to the beach, 10-15 minute walk to main st and the pier, spacious rooms and rooftop, and so much more! Could have easily spent the entire vacation inside! Will definitely rent here again when we find ourselves back in sunny California! Thank you Elena and Kye for the best vacation spot in town and the best hospitality!

The house is beautiful-would not stay again
The house was beautiful. Exactly as described. Close to the beach and darling downtown Seal Beach. (The beach is quite dirty though-lots of bottle caps and even a couch cushion in the water-unsure If the recent hurricane dragged some things up?). The house is very clean and has literally everything you could need for a stay away from home. Unfortunately, the owner is something else. He acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us stay there. The in-person check-in process was long and unnecessary after a long day of travel. Could have been communicated by a letter or a video-I’m sure some people like this handholding but I know how to use a roku and operate a double pane window. I believe he was checking on us to make sure we were who we said we were? Because-Saturday night the owner stopped by at 11 at night unannounced. It was incredibly inappropriate. He must have issues with the neighbors because he heard we were being loud. Stopped by (with no text) and let us know we were in fact, not being loud. Then proceeded to text and say he wasn’t mad-what? It made me feel upset and vulnerable to have a visitor who has access to the property come by at 11 pm without notice. Really too bad because the property is beautiful.

Lindsay: First thank you for leaving the review. 😊 We try hard to follow the Seal Beach City rules that help make (you) the (neighbor) and the (City) happy. The city has a policy of no check in's after 10 PM & you arrived after 11:30 pm and we saved you a parking space & helped carry some luggage in. We 100% say in our listing, we check you in & all communication through VRBO indicate this. The house is almost 100 years old, and we want to make sure everyone understands the house & city parking rules to be comfortable during your stay. We have learned that the Television is a big component of a happy vacation, and we only ask if you have used a Roku so you can start your vacation. We pay for Spectrum through Roku and want you to have access to everything they offer. (Sorry, if you were offended you about the understanding of Roku.) The night the neighbors called and said, you were loud – "You were loud!" & I only kindly asked if you could be quitter and thanked you. Yes, I sent you a text the next day saying thank you and that no one was mad. We have the best relationships with our neighbors, and this is the cool thing about our little beach city. In 15 years, you were the first noise complaint we have ever had. The neighbor wanted to go to bed, and I felt I would just handle the noise. It was hot that night and everyone had their windows open after the storm. You arrived during the bad storm; all beach city’s get wild things that will wash up on the beach after the rain. Over the years, we laugh because we have seen tons of fruit – teddy bears, cushions and every ball you can imagine & more in the water/beach after a storm. We wonder if the Inland people realize what they throw in the river jetty ends up at the Ocean. The city does a tremendous job of cleaning the beaches after the storms. You shared you traveled through the crazy weather from Az to Seal Beach and were frustrated about your drive. We try hard at check in to make everyone is happy and comfortable. Enjoy your weekend and we will just take a deep breath about your review. It just shows we are all human & a bad review is not the end of the world. We love what we do & that is the best part of the adventure. Cheers Elena & Kye

Quiet and Relaxing
We loved this cottage. There was plenty of room for our family of four to spread out. And the house was equipped with just about anything you could need. The beach was just steps away and the owners were very nice. Loved the in person checkin.

Pineapple Paradise!
This property was fantastic! The house is so cute and well decorated. It is on a beautiful tree lined street and the house is surrounded by lovely plants. We really enjoyed all the little pineapple touches. It was so nice to have sand toys provided as we have 2 toddlers. Everything is within walking distance. The host was very accomodating and responded to needs quickly. We made such wonderful memories! This was our first trip as a family of four and one that we will always cherish.

A Gem in Seal Beach
This was our first time staying in Seal Beach for a weekend. The host met us at the bungalow and was welcoming. He gave us instructions on all the workings of the bungalow. We had a wonderful stay in very quiet neighborhood close to the beach and the house is beautiful with modern amenities. Even though it was short stay, we felt like we were on a relaxing vacation. Would stay here again.

Beautiful home in a great location
We had an excellent time - the cottage was well-appointed and in a great location, and Elena and Kai were such kind hosts. They arranged for us to be met and oriented to the house and the neighborhood when we arrived (I think they greet their guests but were out of town for family), and the house was just perfect for our needs. Seal Beach is darling, with so many great shops and restaurants within easy walking distance - and the distance to the ocean was pretty perfect. So happy with our choice and would definitely rent here again if ever the opportunity arises.

Amazing home and wonderful, personable owners/managers!
We stayed for a month in this warm, inviting, well stocked, super comfortable home and loved every minute of it. Kye and Elena were super welcoming and kind to us all month! Great location, we loved walking to the pier and downtown and enjoyed many good restaurants while we were here. We highly recommend this home, property owners, and location!

Wonderful location and hosts
This meticulously well kept home, inside and out was very comfortable! We felt right at home! We loved the location, so close to Main Street and the beach. The home had everything we needed! The host greeted us upon arrival and gave us great suggestions for restaurants, and other things to do. We would absolutely stay here again! Highly reccomend!

Home away from home!
We LOVED the Pineapple Bungalow and would love to have stayed longer. It was the perfect oasis for us on our PCH trip from San Francisco to San Diego. All the comforts of home with the beach right around the corner. Is situated in the cutest little community -- very safe and has the best, most courteous neighbors. Perfect family getaway
Our family of four loved every minute of our time in this beautiful home. Walking distance to downtown with lots of fun shops and restaurants. Right around the corner from the beach. We got in very late on our check in night and Kai was kind enough to wait up for us to let us in and give us the run through of the property. Thank you for an amazing time!

Was a excellent stay. Just out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to it. GPS said 14 miles to Disney. Going thru LA was a pain, but it's LA. You get back and it's relatively Main Street USA. Thanks for sharing your home. Parking could be a little better but it was pretty painless. One bathroom has its issues also. For the price the location and the ambiance I'll be back if I'm ever out that way again. Thanks for a memorable 6 nights and driving to Disney doesn't require driving thru LA. That parts a breeze.

Perfect location with CA/HI vibe
Great location! Less then a block to beach and 4 blocks to the quaintest downtown. Loved the roof top deck and front bistro table for spending time outside. Interior is classic California/Hawaii vibe. Very comfortable for the 3 of us. Loved meeting Kye for the smoothest check-in. He made us feel very welcome and shared lots of activity and restaurant tips. Would rent again!

Great experience. Hosts are friendly and prompt. The bungalow is exquisite . Quaint and clean! Plus beach was walking distance! The hosts went beyond to inform us of the Thursday deals in the neighborhood from $6 pizza to half off Sundae Icecream when you bring your own banana.

Wonderful!!
Cozy, comfortable, and just a short walk to the beach. Our family had such a great time at the Pineapple Bungalow. It has so much personality and charm. We loved the location as the beach/ocean is just steps away and Main Street is also just a short walk away, with lots of shops and restaurants. We appreciated the thorough communication from the owners. Elena and Kye are welcoming and responsive. We would absolutely stay here again - it was hard to leave!

Great Sister Birthday Getaway
The property had all the comforts of home. The have worked very hard to have an easy check-in process and are super accommodating if able. My sister and I slept in the twin beds (just like we shared as kids). They were very comfortable. The location is phenomenal-so easy to walk to beach and downtown. We will rent again! Thank you for having such a lovely home to enjoy.

Fun at the beach
Perfect beach cottage for up to 4 people, nothing isn't exactly as described on rental website. Kye and Elena respond quickly to any questions/concerns. If your taste runs to classic beach design as opposed to boring concrete structures, this place is for you.

Nice Seal Beach get away
Nicely furnished home, kitchen well stocked, cute & quaint. Walking to beach, downtown and pier was great. A few suggestions for a more comfortable stay... the queen bed mattress, pillows, and linens were uncomfortable. Having a smart TV in the main living area would also be nice.

Wonderful Stay
We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was beautiful and the location was perfect. We were able to explore LA and the beach towns to the south. We looked forward to coming home at night to this perfect sanctuary. We loved being close to the beach and close to Main Street for walks to restaurants and shops. Our only complaint is we couldn’t stay longer. Best VRBO we’ve ever had.

Great property with great owners
House is just as described and shown in photos - very charming and welcoming home with nice amenities, short walk to the beach and all the shops and restaurants near the pier. Owners were proactive in their communication and very friendly with good local recommendations. Highly recommend this property - we had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again!

Chill beach vibes with incredible hosts
The Pineapple Bungalow is impeccably decorated, well-stocked with everything our family needed (so many kinds of tea!), and perfectly located close to the beach and restaurants while also remaining quiet. Elena and Kye are incredible hosts who pay attention to every detail and make you feel at home before you even arrive. Their thoughtfulness made this vacation very special.

Lovely bungalow
Accurate description of property. All amenities are all listed correctly and well stocked kitchen, towels, linens etc. Property owners are very responsive and helpful. Seal Beach is such a wonderful location, great stay!

We found our new FAVORITE place!
We are so thrilled to have found Seal Beach and The Pineapple Bungalow! Kye and Elena made the reservation, check-in, and vacation process so easy. Kye met us at the property and went over all of the details and made sure to tell us about all of their favorite restaurants, shopping, and adventures nearby. The house is BEAUTIFUL and the only way to explain it is that it has “soul”. You feel comfortable and at home immediately. The proximity to the beach and Main St was fantastic and we walked to and from multiple times per day. In the mornings we enjoyed walking to breakfast at Crema Cafe for crepes and amazing grill items. During the day we shopped in Huntington and Newport Beach (thanks to a quick text from the owners on where to go for the best shopping) and we even enjoyed a whale watching tour at The Aquarium of The Pacific. Dinner at Walts Wharf in Seal Beach, and The Crab Pot on the Marina just a few miles from the house were SO GOOD! Overall we cannot say enough about how safe the community is, how friendly the people are, how beautiful the beach was, and how wonderful the home and owners were. Thank you Kye and Elena for sharing your beautiful place with us and taking so much pride in it! We will be back FOR SURE!

Location can’t be beat. Enjoyed having the fireplace for cool nights/mornings. Great hosts. Did not realize attached property in back; some upgrades are due ie: cookware outdoor beach chairs

Sanford & Cynthia It was a pleasure having you as guests in the Pineapple Bungalow. Kye enjoyed meeting you both and mentioned you have a vintage house too in New Mexico. Keeping the charm of the older homes is an art. Thanks for your honest review on the beach chairs and pan. Being so close to the ocean each season we buy new chairs - thanks for the heads up. On the pans we will check out and replace - we are always mystified how fast we go through them. I think people use too hot of heat and they get burnt. :( I double checked the listing and we do mention 2 homes on the listings of each house that you can rent one or both homes. Pineapple Perfect 🍍
I stay at a lot of VRBO properties. This one is a must. Seal Beach is a perfect location to everything Southern California. This location will get you to Disneyland, Venice and so many other places and if you need, avoiding major freeways. Seal Beach is perfect in size. You forget how busy California can be when you are there. The house is in a great location to food, shopping and the beach. Walked everywhere. The hosts have everything you could possibly need, and even more. They are extremely organized. (Which is important to me). Clean. Have more than enough supplies and if you need something they will get it to you immediately. But enough about the basics. This is the cutest house I've been in. The detail that the owners added make the stay so fun. It's a beautiful home. From floor to ceiling they did an amazing job. Decorating must have been so much fun for them. Nothing was overlooked. I felt like I was in old school Hawaii. Pineapples and beach decor made sitting inside just as fun as being outside. I will definitely be coming back to one of their properties. Ohhh, and after a long day of playing hard. I appreciated their kick-ass hot, high pressure shower and then sitting in front of their gas fireplace. (It rained on our visit).

The Most Darling Cottage and Great Hosts
Kye and Elena were fantastic hosts and this property was absolutely perfect as a home base for our California trip. We arrived very late (almost midnight), but Kye still met us to show us the property and answer questions/offer recommendations. We appreciated their local restaurant "favorites list" and walked to a few of them throughout the week. The cottage was well-appointed and comfortable. It's cute and has a curated feel (pineapples!). We loved the upper deck where we could grill and look out to the ocean, too. Overall a fantastic experience, great location for walking to shops and restaurants, wonderful hosts that made us feel welcome. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great stay at the Pineapple Cottage!
We had a wonderful stay at the Pineapple Cottage. The house was clean & had everything we needed. The owners were wonderful to communicate with us.
