“Great room with 4 beds and 2 baths- which is what I booked except on arrival they tried to give us 2 separate rooms (not sure why). Biggest issue is was street noise from traffic and trolley/street car 24/7. It also felt fairly unsafe surrounding property and on our early departure we could not locate a staff member to unlock the door to let us out. It ended up she was sleeping and we had to knock on numerous doors to find her. This caused a bit of a delay to depart for airport but we made it....

“They were not ready for our arrival. The hotel was locked behind bars when we came. They let us wait for additional 30 min to explain that we prepaid for the room. They still wanted us to pay. No water for drinking. The bathroom was clogged.”

“The hotel is uphill with beautiful views of the mountains. The sunset was incredible. Be aware the road is unsealed the last kilometre and you need to WhatsApp message the hotel in advance of arrive for them to open the entry gate. Staff were very friendly and accomodating even though our Spanish is terrible. This is a boutique hotel with only 5 rooms and we had the place to ourselves. There is a cafeteria with some snacks, but all meals are made to order off a menu and the presentation is...

“I booked this place for a two day wind-down near the airport after a long two month trip. It said it had a restaurant and pool (pictured) so I planned to stay on site and relax. When I arrived it turned out the pool and restaurant were closed?! There was no apology or explanation given, I was told I could “order delivery”. For five meals. Can you imagine the cost? “Be sure to confirm reservations - there was some confusion about ours. The owner does not speak English so communicate through Expedia. The hot water was not working (was fixed eventually) and the place was a bit difficult to find. However, it was clean and comfortable - there was even a hot tub with jets in the bathroom. The owner tried very hard to help us. I would recommend staying, just keep the above in mind.”

“Stayed there for one night due to a flight next morning. Pleasant stay and nice to not have to go the whole way in to town. Taxi cost 10 § and 8 § if the hosteria drives you. Ok breakfast and you can also order dinner which is totally fine as well. Good price compared to going down to Quito and the stay gave what we needed. Some waterproblems in our "bungalow" occasionally. The bungalow is more like a small cottage I would say.”
