From start to finish, Florent, the owner’s son, was a pleasure to deal with, providing us with information, such as boat timetables, to help us know if the apartment was right for us.
The apartment is probably the best one we have ever stayed in, with lovely touches such as a welcome selection of breakfast food, toiletries and towelling robes in the bathroom, sleek, soft-close modern storage and sparkling cutlery!
Seixal itself is an odd place with a lot of regeneration going on. Beautiful old tiled cottages stand side by side with derelict, peeling houses and new-build executive apartments, some in the process of still being built. However, there are enough cafes and restaurants for days when we didn’t go into Lisbon, and drinks were very cheap in Seixal! There is also a large Lidl only 10 minutes walk away.
Lisbon itself is a 15 minute catamaran ride away. At times we wished we were actually staying in Lisbon, but it was also good to have a cool, quiet, air conditioned apartment to go back to after some sightseeing in the capital.
We would definitely stay there again and would recommend the apartment!
