We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the owner welcoming us in and getting us settled in our room. They made sure we got sorted in the morning and ready for our Myoko Adventure. “Stayed here for a week with my friends, couldn’t have wished for anything more, Yu-San and his wife are a lovely couple, good breakfast every morning, very helpful with dinner tips and shuttle back and forth to town or different ski areas.

“Hotel Hanabun was a great ryokan experience! It is nestled in the mountains offering a peaceful getaway from touristy/crowded areas. It had the best onsen water, even the locals went there to bathe!
The hosts and staff are all friendly and accommodating to your needs. Google translate was necessary to communicate, but everyone is very patient. The food was incredibly delicious, and they use locally sourced, fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy ryokan. ”
“Only the couple managing the property, doing all rooms and check in and dining. So be patient. Even they might not know much English they still provide great service and try to accommodate your needs.

“It’s just beautiful. They have a shuttle to the ski areas that aren’t walkable. Free shuttle from and to the train station. They were very friendly and helped me set up my luggage transportation to the next ski location. ”
“We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. The property manager and staff were very nice and accommodative.
They gave us free use of the SUPs and kayaks which was lots of fun.
The rooms were nice and freshly renovated.
Highly recommended for either a summer stay to enjoy the lake activities or a winter stay to hit the nearby slopes.

“Very clean and seemed well taken care of. The spa was amazing!! Much better than any of the pictures show, even had Dyson hairdryers and good quality hair and body products :) The room was small but very clean. Overall value for your money is 10/10. The only two things I can comment on are that I wished the restaurant would have been open for breakfast and that we would have gotten better info about the cleaning. We stayed for three days and it didn't get cleaned once, probably because we had to...
