La Danza del Sol on Big Assawoman Bay Sleeps 10, 12 if you count the sleeper sofa. It has two EV chargers, a hot tub, dock space for three boats and more.

Enjoy our elevated and super sun-soaked L-shaped (24’x8’, 32’x10’) upper deck overlooking Roy Creek and the Big Assawoman Bay. Tie up your boat at the long dock, take a dip in the 6-person Caldera Makena hot tub and watch area boaters float by. Enjoy family fun with an assortment of crab traps, three/four bikes, a pair of kayaks and a huge yard to play corn hole. Pick and eat fresh vegetables from the garden, too! Shower off in a large, well-lit outdoor shower. La Danza del Sol, (The dance of the Sun) is a 100 percent* Green Home, powered by 31 solar panels that cleanly capture the sun’s energy. Guests can also plug into the GREEN FUTURE with two complimentary ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGERS. That’s right, 2 FREE CHARGES while you stay at La Danza del Sol!

*The outdoor grill is the exception to the total Green Home, it’s fueled by propane gas. This Keen-wik on the Bay home is on a large mostly grassy lot and a half with lots of room for kids to run around. It also has an incredible breezy perch on boat-filled Roy Creek and the Big Assawoman Bay less than 100 yards away. We are far from the commercial lights so the stars are bright and the nights are quiet. Rent this stunning home by the week (it's a 7-night minimum, 3 pm Saturday afternoon to 10 am Saturday morning May 31 through November 1, 2025.) We permit up to two pets per stay, $125 per pet. Year round, we offer a 20 percent discount off the weekly rate for stays four weeks (28 nights) or longer. Our new, super sparkling cleaning service now allows us to provide guests with all the necessary bed linens, bath and beach towels, soaps, shampoos, etc.

New for 2025!!! We’ve completed the installation of a 15’ L-shaped bar to the ground floor. The 70+ year-old red oak bar was salvaged from the historic S&J Bar & Restaurant (later the Riviera Tapas Bar) in the heart of downtown Riverdale Park, MD. Today, guests of La Danza del Sol can enjoy an assortment of coffees in the provided coffee-espresso maker. There is a second refrigerator at the end of the bar, an under-bar refrigerator next to the sink and a bar dishwasher, a microwave, and an underbar ice maker all for your convenience. Enjoy free ice to fill your coolers for beach and boat trips! And, adjacent to the bar is a new, super-sized, ADA-compliant fully tiled full bathroom and shower with a heated tile floor. In fact, the towel racks are heated, too! And, La Danza del Sol now has an indoor exercise area with recombinant bike and rowing machine, Yoga mat and hand weights. The area is finished off with a full-size LG washer/dryer set. There's an adjacent third bathroom that is ADA-compliant with a tiled, heated floor.

The Great Room/bar area also includes two TVs and an extensive library including some of the notable bestsellers over the past century. In all, the recently added new space doubles the size of the beach house to a whopping 2,452 square feet of quality, waterfront living space for your family to enjoy every season of the year, every day of the year.
