  • Gammal charmig villa. Landshuset är uppdelat i 3 våningar.
    Bottenvåningen består av vardagsrum och kök. Boområdet domineras av takbjälkar, stenbågar och klinkergolv samtidigt som de är elegant inredda av ägarna för att skapa en välkomnande känsla.
    Första våningen hyrs inte ut av ägarna som bor i Rom men någon gång (vanligtvis en gång i veckan i några timmar) använder den som en logistisk grund för att övervaka fastigheten (t.ex. att städa poolen, för att vattna växterna etc.).
    På översta våningen finns de två sovrummen som är tillgängliga via en extern trappa. Inredningens varma färger, träbjälkarna, terrakottagolvet och eldstäderna upphöjer den trevliga atmosfären.

    En pool, en jacuzzi, en vacker öppen trädgård och en liten fotbollsplan gör att gästerna kan njuta av sin fritid


    Fastigheten ligger mitt i ett grönt, orörd land, omgiven av stora träd (ekar, tallar, cypresser, olivträd och fruktträd) och av olika typer av blommor som särskilt under våren och hösten skapar en spektakulär och varm blandning av naturliga färger.

Just wonderful

A lovely house with a beautiful garden and a great atmosphere. Add to this a very attentive and helpful owner and Rome easily accessible. All in all, we really enjoyed our holiday in this lovely house. With airconditioning in the bedrooms, the stay would have been perfect ;-)

Our stay at Il Casale di Max

Great communication with Eliano before we arrived. A lovely welcome with some fantastic local food treats and a detailed tour around the well equipped villa. The house and pool is well laid out with plenty of shade and fantastic views. The countryside is beautiful with a multitude of hilltop towns and wooded peaks. Overall great hosts and a very relaxing holiday.

Little bit of paradise

Great villa with an astonishing view, couldn't have hoped for a more idyllic location. As we were new to the region we didn't quite know what to expect but we were blown away. Will definitely be back, when it's maybe cooler as we arrived in the middle of a heatwave, thank goodness for that lovely pool. Eliano was the perfect host...we were the first renters since the pandemic so there were a few teething problems, but Eliano was on it immediately and nothing was too much trouble. He also had a lot of good suggestions for restaurants and sight seeing etc which was most helpful.

Beautiful villa in the countryside

We stayed here for ten days as a family of five! So relaxing and everything you need is provided! We had some lovely days out also, Rome is an hour away and absolutely spectacular

Everything we wished and we never dared to ask

This is a fantastic villa offering a unique experience. Wonderful pool with jacuzzi, very stilish building, beautiful garden and full privacy granted. Very nice guests and good restaurants nearby. What else could we ask for???

Incredible, relaxing, luxurious stay

We loved every minute of our stay at the heavenly Casale di Max. The pool, jacuzzi, environment and rooms are all of a very high standard and the hosts Ornella & Elio were very helpful and kind.

Séjour parfait !

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait à la Casale di Max !!! La maison est jolie, le jardin est grand et très bien entretenu, la piscine est belle et la vue sur le paysage est simplement magnifique !! L'accueil par Ornella et son mari était très chaleureux. Nous garderons un très bon souvenir !!!

Beautiful

Four of us spent a week in Il Casale di Max. The owners welcomed us, and showed us around the house: a nice stone villa. A good kitchen and a large living room (wich we never used) on the ground floor. On the second floor there is two bedrooms with bathrooms (let's be honest, the showers aren't great, but who cares?). Then the more imporant: the outside: a football court, vegetable garden, swimming pool og barbeque. We spent all days outside. Eating under the vines, athing all day, barbequing at night. This is really what life should be! Only an hour to Rome if you'ld like lunch there some time. We also visited Civita di Bagnoregio an hour and a half away. Buy you groceries at the local Conad, just a short drive from the villa. We can strongly recommend Il Casale di Max, and hope many more will have a great time there!

Dreams becoming reality

It is not easy to find the words to describe this unforgettable experience which left me only with wonderful memories. A very beautiful country, a warm and historic villa, an amazing view, a wild nature in a lovely and comfortable place where to relax and to recharge batteries for the new year. What else could you ask for your holiday? Definitely a place not to miss!

A beautiful house in a wonderful location

We had a fantastic holiday in this wonderful house in the beautiful Sabine hills. The house, the grounds and the location were perfect, and the pool and the views across the hills are stunning. Ornella was a great host and very helpful in providing us with delicious home-grown produce, and advice and directions for our trips to Rome. We all hope to return one day.

The right choice

From the moment we entered the gate to Il casale di Max, we knew that we had made the right choice, and that it would be a beatiful and relaxing holiday. The warm reception at arrival, the charming house with its cosy rooms and well-found kitchen, not to mention the pool and the stunning views ... we loved every minute of our 2 weeks there and didn't even feel tempted to go sightseeing, even though lots of suggestions of "where to go and what to do" were found in the house. The Carrefour supermarket 10 minutes away was well-supplied, and we spent a number of evenings at the barbecue in the garden preparing sumptous meals and drinking local wine. A visit at the restaurant La vecchia quercia at walking distance is also recommendable if you feel like going out for a meal. But nothing beats the relaxing, sunny days at the pool reading books and enjoying the view - we would certainly like to return to Selci one day again to say hello to Ornella and Elio and have the benefit of staying at their beautifully restored casale.

Dream Holiday

We visited here for one week at the start of July and it was probably the most relaxing holiday I have ever had. You can't imagine how fabulous this property actually is - we'd lie by the pool and be totally awestruck by the views. The photos on here do not do it justice at all, it really is better when you get there. The gardens are immaculate. The surrounding area is quiet but there are many suggested itineries provided should you wish to explore. We didn't do too much as we couldn't drag ourselves away from the pool and jacuzzi! Ornella is wonderful, helpful and kind. I would love to come back here sometime in the future.
