âMade to feel very welcome and hotel kindly arranged a late check-in without fuss. The room was comfy and clean and the breakfast first class. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is in a super location on the bridge with views of the river and just a short walk to shops and amenities. Very friendly - will always go back when visiting Thetford area.â

âCozy old hotel with a lot of character. Lots of shops nearby. Nice little town. Newly renovated rooms. Restaurant and pub downstairs that serves good food for resonable prices. Downstars there's a lot of the old feeling and character of the building still there, in a good way.â

âBeautiful old building which has had good levels of investment into making it a fine hotel. Very well located in the centre of town but with plenty of nearby parking.
Well appointed, if small, rooms, attentive and welcoming staff although needed more staff at breakfast as many guests had to wait too long to be seated. Breakfast was excellent though, lots of choice and good quality.â
âWe were welcomed warmly by Greg who explained what we needed to know and showed to our room. The room is as nice as any room I have stayed in and Iâve stayed at the Mandarin Oriental!! The bedding was Luxurious and the bed wonderfully comfy. With tea and coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk, I hope I have a reason to return. Absolutely 5 Starsâ
âThe Staff are wonderful. Our room was very nice. The only item we find difficult is the cost of breakfast (ÂŁ18 each) but there are choices outside of the Hotel. Apart from that we always choose the Hotel and will continue to do so - in 4 weeks we'll be back.â

On arrival, there was a warm welcome, fresh milk and tea & coffee. Greatly welcomed after a long journey.
I stayed in room 4, a self contained double room which was perfectly fine for my needs. It had a bedroom, lounge with TV, shower room and kitchen with toaster, microwave and oven.

âBoth the chord for the window blind and the light in the bathroom had snapped off. You had to be a least 5 foot tall to turn it on. I had to pull the bed out to plug my bedside lamp in. There were not enough electrical points in the room.
They were not doing breakfasts either which was disappointing. The overall appearance would be described as tatty especially the bathroom with tatty paint work on the door surrounds and radiator.
The shower was good the beds clean and the towels were fresh.â
