Excellent hotel. Loved the Marriott and the staff. The front desk and front door crew is not very knowledgeable on where to go. I recommend renting a car and making a plan. If you take a cab too far out, you might be stuck with an expensive ride or waiting for a bus. Also, the beach at the Marriott has been washed away but the hotel makes up for it.

There is NO beach. The pool area is way too small for the size of the hotel. The extra blanket for our room had a HUGE hole ripped in it. Staff was great, but definitely NOT worth the $700/night we paid.

Love the updated lobby area, restaurant choices and the staff both inside and outside around the pool area. However, the pool area is a complete circus with not enough room as a result of beach erosion and the loss of it. People are squeezed in like beans in a can making it impossible to read or relax. Will not be coming back to the Marriott.

We enjoyed our stay here- the pool deck and chairs are comfortable with plenty of umbrellas. The staff is highly attentive and friendly! The resort fee included the kayaks, snorkel equipment and activities too which was really nice. We did not mind the beach erosion too terribly- but understandably it is disappointing to many guests.

I was nervous there was construction but never heard any of it. Don't let that be a concern. Area great. Several bars and restaurants walkable. Rental car place across the street if you want to explore. Also, free bikes if you want to go 7 mile beach or Georgetown. Pool small and no true beach although areas you can go into the water and snorkel or swim. True beach is a few minute walk. Cayman dollar is stronger than US so be aware when quoted rates and upgrades, might be more expensive than expected. Many fees on top of base fee. I upgrades a room to ocean view from island and was quoted $120 a night. Ended up double that after fees and conversion!!!

All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. They made sure you were taken care of and treated like you really matter! The rooms are newly remodeled and they were incredible. Although they have a limited beach area, they have a nice pool deck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pool is nice. They provide free water equipment snorkels, masks, kayaks, paddle boards, and rafts for the guests to use. They have daily free items, like snow-cones, chips, and fruits.

When arrived to reception to check in, I was told i was upgraded to a renovated room. The room was located on the 2nd floor which was quite messy and dusty due to the construction. The room was actually a downgrade from the one i booked. I found the guy at the check in deceived me and tried to put me in a lousy room by the construction area. After complaining, he moved me to a different floor AND put me in the same room type I booked for. The service at the bar was not great. I had to ask the bartenders to clean the sticky dirty counter on a number of occasions. The food service is very slow but the burger was very good. The short ribs was awful though. The pastries in the coffee area were amazing and the service there was outstanding. Room cleanliness was very good but do not expect your towels to be changed unless you place them on the floor. The toiletry provided was minimal. The bed mattress was covered by plastic or something similar and made the it unbreathable and so hot after 30 minutes of lying on it. I guess they want to protect the mattress from bed bugs or stains (???). The pool is very small for such a big hotel and unless you go early to grab a spot you are out of luck. The door people were great getting transportation.

The property is beautiful, and the rooms are under renovation. We had a newly renovated room which was nice with new bedding and a huge tv. Yellow caution tape enclosed the hot tub by the pool and one section of the deck overlooking the ocean. Old stairs made of wood were still in place but moving around with the waves. But it was no big deal but did distract from the sea view. The staff here is among the best we've ever encountered. Everyone smiles and helps with any questions you may have. Overall, a great time!!

We have stayed at Marriott in Grand Cayman for years. However, false advertising about beautiful beaches at hotel, pictures too. But to our horror NO BEACH AT MARRIOTT DUE TO EROSION!! Never again to this Marriott. We were in room #270 1/27/24 to 2/3/24, and it should not have been rented to anyone. Jack hammers were running throughout the day before 8 am till almost 5 pm some 4 rooms away. Heavy construction equipment was running back and forth along this whole side of the building with their loud exhaust and beep, beep, beep when backin up. Contraction crew yelling orders and directions to each other all day long. The franchise owner of this Marriott could care less about its guest. The room got rented and I’m sure that is all that mattered. If you go to this Marriott be aware, you will not matter.

this property has literally no beach. the deck is limited and crowded. Major construction noise every day. Daily mandatory service charge $60 for things few people would do. We were there for 7 days. I rode a bike once and my wife got a snow cone... $420! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately they were undergoing a facelift on many hotel rooms, so 9AM-5PM was noisy at times, 7 days a week. Also there is no beach in front of the hotel. The ocean has taken it. That said, food was very good, staff were the stars of the hotel, making you feel welcome, always happy to engage in a conversation with patrons, we felt well pampered. Never had to leave the hotel for anything, it was all there. Kitchen went out of there way to deal with our food issues. Pool-side service and staff easily compete with Ritz Carleton at 2/3rd’s the price. Would recommend.

Marriott is an excellent hotel. I’ve been staying here for over 30 years since it was the radisson. The beach is completely eroded ( which I knew), however the excellent location was a fair tradeoff. If you’re looking to walk right into the beach, this is not the place (although it had 50 feet of beach width before the hurricanes changed all that). But the hotel is excellent and if you rent a car you’re only 5 minutes from a full beach.
