Douglas Lake Waterfront Estate

This waterfront estate on Douglas Lake is spread out over three floors including 8 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and 1 half bathroom! Floor plan includes 3 master suites, with one on each level. Property is waterfront on a quiet cove with parking for your boat at your personal boat dock. Swimming and floating off the dock is safe for all the kids, with no boat traffic nearby. Two fully furnished kitchens, with one on the main floor and one in the walkout basement. Wrap around covered porches with seating and waterfront views from all three levels! Bring ALL of your family & friends because this house DEFINITELY HAS the room! Keep the adults entertained with a hot tub on the balcony and the kids entertained with pool and ping pong tables. Visit the fourth floor cupola to take in the distant lake views through the telescope! Enjoy the peace, quiet, and privacy of a cul-de-sac lot with no other home in site. Centrally located on the 28,000-acre Douglas Lake with marinas, fuel, and waterfront restaurants all within 15 minutes by water!

Douglas Lake water level is controlled seasonally by the Tennessee Valley Authority. Douglas Lake overall is accessible 365 days a year at any water level via public boat ramps nearby. The lake is typically accessible DIRECTLY from this property from April through September. Guests are provided with a key to the private neighborhood boat ramp (not pictured) 0.9 miles from this property, which provides boat launch access from approximately April through early October.

The host was great. The home is beautiful! We had a large group out for a marriage retreat. We drove 6 and a half hours to visit the mountains. Once we arrived we had to drive up a very steep and narrow driveway, with 5 trucks, it was very difficult to maneuver in such a tight space. Very frustrating! There were no handicap ramps or railing. The picture shows a lake area and we were excited to enjoy it, however, the lake was dry!! We looked forward to the jetted tubs but the one on the upper level bedroom had black particles floating in the water. There were a mass of ladybugs on the ceiling in one of the bedroom, on the balconies, and in the hot tub. The sheets were stained and need to be replaced in some of the rooms. The hot tub had dirty/cloudy water and ladybugs in it. No Kerig coffee maker. The kitchen was not stocked with necessities like paper towels and garbage bags. Only 1 iron/ironing board for such a large home. Overall, we enjoyed the trip, but would not revisit this location, only because of the driveway, everything else was fixable issues.

The lake is drawn down this time of year so it was non-existent, which was fine, but just letting others know. Neighbors said lake is beautiful in summer months.

Truly a home away from home! Having two kitchens was very helpful for our ladies group! So many bathrooms for everyone to get ready and lots of places to have a quiet moment to yourself when needed. Very spacious and relaxing! Thanks for sharing your home.

The home was spacious, Comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Kitchen was stocked, we made chicken and dumplings, chili and more.Location was perfect close enough to Dollywood, Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge but yet quiet and peaceful.

Tennessee vacation

The house is nice the house location on the lot is quiet overwhelming lots of stairs thank goodness for the driveway to the dock that is a lifesaver my wife and I are in our 70s the grandchildren didn’t have any problems all and all it was a good family vacation ( all of the mattresses need to be replaced they are very uncomfortable )

This house was perfect for our large multigenerational, multifamily group. Access for our kayaks and paddle boards was great and the kids love swimming off the dock in the protected cove without boat traffic. House was well equipped, and everything was as described in the write up for the property.This house and the surrounding area is ideal for a family vacation and we would rent again. Kevin is a great communicator and host for the property.

Family vacation

We greatly enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for our three families. All issues and questions were quickly handled by our host. I especially appreciated when we asked about a crockpot they brought one over same day. The second kitchen was great for cooking for the large group. The only thing I might add to the description is that the driveways are steep and it might be nice to add a larger or second grill.

Beautiful Home, Highly Recommend

Quiet location with plenty of space. Beautiful wrap around deck on both floors. Far enough away from busy streets, but close enough to go on adventures with the family. Property Manager is awesome, quick response if we needed anything. Overall great experience.

Family vacation

The house is HUGE. Plenty of room for 11 adults and 6 grandkids. House was clean and a very easy drive to the house. Plenty of parking for 4 vehicles. Beautiful views from every level. The only negetive, and it is completely out of the owners control, was that the lake was not filled for the season yet. It did come up about 10 feet while we were there. We were able to make a short walk to the water but it was not in front of the house.Everyone had a great time and would all love to rent this house again.

Great Family Getaway!

We spent the week here for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time in the house! Kevin was so great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. The layout of the house was perfect for our three families and there was plenty of room for our kids of all ages. The views from the house were beautiful and the location was perfect!

Amazing House With Room For Everyone.

My group of eight women throughly enjoyed our stay here. There was more than enough room for everyone. The two kitchens gave us plenty of room to cook and store food. The beds are very comfortable. Do be aware there are a lot of stairs, but anyone with mobility issues can easily access the lower level, which has two bedrooms, a kitchen, deck access, and a view of the lake. The drive to and from Sevieverville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is easy and it was a pleasure looking forward to returning to the house each night. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again!

The best venue for a wedding hidden in this beautiful gem! WOW just wow

We were blessed enough to have our wedding at this venue/property! it was absolutely perfect, to say the least! We held the ceremony on the driveway which the way it’s set up was perfect! Had the reception on the main floor and had fifty chairs and ten tables with plenty of room! Dressed up stunningly well! And then had our dance hall down stairs with disco lights and was more than enough room for everyone to dance! Can’t say enough good things about the property! The host was so accommodating, with the recent disasters in our area from the hurricane and my guests that were affected by that, we were granted an earlier check-in and later check-out and offered a discount if more days were going to be needed! Anyone that knows how badly Asheville was affected knows what a blessing all of that was! Can’t say enough good things about our experience, and how perfect the property was for our needs and, how great the host was! Thank you for letting us borrow your home! We will look forward to coming back many, many more times in the future!
