We stayed at Moose Hollow Lodge for our wedding weekend, and overall it was a beautiful and memorable place to celebrate. The mountain views are stunning, the lodge is spacious, and it felt private and peaceful. The pool was a hit, the movie theater was used every night, and the pool table and air hockey were great bonuses. The string lights over the driveway made for a magical outdoor wedding dinner setup.However, there were a few inconveniences. The refrigerator door wouldn’t stay shut because the seal seemed worn out, which made it hard to keep food cold and caused some items to spoil. Several fridge shelves were also missing. Most arcade games did not work; only the Pac-Man machine functioned consistently. Parking was tight for our group and required frequent reshuffling of cars.We were also surprised that there is no standalone bathroom on the main floor near the kitchen, so guests had to use bathrooms inside occupied bedrooms, which was a little uncomfortable once belongings were unpacked. One of the basement bedrooms only had a curtain instead of a door, which made privacy an issue for the guests staying there.The lodge felt secluded overall, though nearby neighbors played loud music on the day of our ceremony. They were very understanding and turned it down when we spoke with them.Even with these issues, we loved our stay. The location is gorgeous, many amenities were great - With a few maintenance improvements, this could easily be a five-star experience.
