Our cabin in the well established Sky Harbor Resort is located 15 mins from the Island in Pigeon Forge and 15 mins to Gatlinburg directly between the two on the Spur in the Smoky Mountains. Minutes from great attractions and restaurants, whether choosing Dollywood, Gatlinburg, or our favorite, the Island at Pigeon Forge, you will find more than enough to keep you entertained.

On clear nights you can see all the way to Pigeon Forge where you will be able to watch the Wheel from the Island change colors off in the distance (best view is during Fall, Winter, and early Spring due to dense foliage during late Spring and Summer). You won't have to worry about looking out and seeing buildings everywhere, just peaceful mountain scenery. From the large windows in the living and kitchen areas, you will see nothing but trees, nothing to block your view.

Cabin conveniently located on private acre with private master bedroom (queen size bed) on main level with full master bathroom along with open loft upstairs featuring additional queen bed and private full bathroom. Each bedroom has a dresser, writing desk, and ceiling fan with a spacious closet and 32" flat screen TV with HD cable.

The living room has a 40" flat screen TV ready for you to log into your favorite streaming application. Relax on the comfy reclining leather sofa and love seat. For ambiance, feel free to turn on the electric fireplace to add a nice warm glow. You can choose to disconnect from the world or enjoy the provided Wi-Fi throughout the cabin. If your family enjoys making your own meals as opposed to eating out, you will find a fully functioning kitchen with a dining table that seats 6 - four chairs and one bench. We've totally stocked the kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, cups & glasses and a full drawer of cooking and eating utensils. There are also a traditional coffee maker or a Keurig, toaster, blender, crockpot, and microwave available to make you feel right at home when the family gets hungry. Right off the kitchen is the laundry area and the first bedroom with full bath. Upstairs you will find an open loft design as the second bedroom and full bath with a breezeway crossing over the downstairs living area to a private upper balcony. On the main level outdoor deck, you will find a 4-piece table and chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee and the sound of birds chirping as you take in the view.

The cabin was exactly as described, clean, and well-maintained. The host checked in to ensure everything was okay. The location was great. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of blankets. My teenage daughter slept on the couch and found it comfortable as well. We have AT&T and had decent cell service. While the driveway is steep, it's not a reason to avoid booking this cabin. I plan on booking again in the future.

Great cabin and host

All was 100% other than the driveway. I actually modified our plans due to the steep driveway and concern to actually be able to get up it at night or when the roads were wet. We cut our stay short also due to the driveway. Nothing the owners could due about this. We were told about the driveway and had clear helpful instructions from the host on how to navigate the steep incline. It was just too much for me.

Double check before booking

The place's road is very bad, you can't get up the road to the cabin even if you have a 4x4 or all wheel drive car. You can't even walk up to the cabin from the main street. The stairs are falling apart and the cabin it NOT taken care of.

WORTH A 10 STAR REVIEW

I can't express enough how wonderful the location, the cabin, and the hospitality provided by the owner were! Although I rarely write reviews, Sam's place absolutely deserves one! We arrived late after driving up from Florida, and I must say, the roads leading to the cabin were a thrill to navigate! Upon our arrival, we encountered a minor issue, so I reached out to Sam around 11 PM on a weekday, not expecting a reply until the next morning. To my surprise, she responded promptly and resolved the issue exceeding my expectations and without hesitation! The cabin is perfectly situated, centrally located between all attractions from Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge. You can find something to do just 10 minutes in any direction, despite the cabin being nestled at the top of a mountainside, offering seclusion! The cabin was beautifully set up for a relaxing week away from home. Not only would we consider returning, but we are also 100% planning to book this cabin for our next annual visit to Tennessee!

Awesome view! STEEP DRIVEWAY!

Very nice clean cabin with an awesome view of Pigeon Forge! We stayed 5 nights and viewed fireworks shows every night. Last 100’ of the driveway is very close to 30 degree incline with sharp curves (90 degree plus)

Beautiful cabin & Extra clean!

Awesome mountain cabin! Super clean. Great attention to detail spoiling us with lots of extras. Beautiful decor. The driveway up to the cabin is a bit crazy but doable if u use you follow the helpful tips. There are several steps up to the front door which may be an issue for some. Loved this cabin!

Beautiful!

We had an amazing time at Sam’s cabin! First morning we saw bears on the deck while we were in the hot tub! Scary yet amazing! The scenery is beautiful! House is clean and cozy and everything you’d expect from the listing. The host responded almost immediately anytime we’d message. 10/10!!! We had a great time here.

Nice clean roomy facility.

Very clean with many amenities. If you’re looking for a facility with easy access in and out you may want to check elsewhere. It was very stressful to go up and down the driveway. Burning rubber even on dry pavement. I asked the host where I could park if we could not get up the hill and she did not answer my question. We were afraid to leave on the next because it was raining making it harder to make it up the driveway. Im shure there could have been a reasonable answer but she refused to answer my question.

Beautiful cabin and views, conveniently located to everything!

My family of 4 (2 kids 9 & 11) loved our stay at Sam’s Place. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The driveway was steep but was no problem with our 4-wheel drive truck. The view from the balcony was great and getting to see the fireworks from Dollywood every night around 9:40pm was an awesome bonus. Only wish we had some binoculars to see the light show that goes along with the fireworks. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. Samantha is very communicative and has everything laid out and labeled, which makes check-in/check-out a breeze. Would highly recommend this property if you want to be close to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge!!!!

Great cabin

Clean property. Property manager was fast to arrange a repairman for the broken AC unit. You will see bears. We seen 5 bears on our week long stay. DRIVEWAY IS VERY STEEP! DONT ARRIVE AFTER DARK ON YOUR FIRST NIGHT. The view is amazing but a lot of trees need trimmed to make it better. Great place to stay!

Excellent Service.

A beautiful clean cabin. Quiet and peaceful. The only issue we had was the steep driveway. With a 15 passenger van we spun out at the first turn and ended up parking at the bottom of the driveway. We had an SUV for a few days and had no problem with the driveway then. The host was very helpful with quick responses each time we called. She went the extra mile and helped us find a mobile mechanic when we had a vehicle breakdown. A big “THANK YOU” for that. Amazing cabin.

The Perfect Retreat

This was our first trip to the Smokies, and we couldn’t ask for a more perfect cabin, location to the best parts of the Smokies, and overall mountain experience. The cabin was clean, expertly appointed with everything you need, and a view to die for. The driveway was an adventure and added to the experience. You cannot go wrong with this cabin and host.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful, the view from the cabin was georgeous. The driveway is very steep. If you do not have 4 wheel deive you will need to go at least 20 to 25 mph at the approach to the driveway, downshift to first gear and do not stop. Will definitely stay here again.

Up in the mountain

Sam's place is up in the mountain, the driveway is not for the faint of heart, but remember, you came to the Smokies, if you want flat we have the Midwest, or Florida. Actually, being high in the mountain makes the cabin magic, the view is incredible, and the driveway is very doable. The house it's beautiful and well maintained, beds are confortable, cabin is clean. We love it!

Steep Rd cabin

This cabin was wonderful! Everything was listed correctly. Kitchen was stocked with essential items. Plenty of pots and pans etc. Many things do do nearby. Reataurants, attractions, shopping, and so much more. LOVED it. Host was reachable and responded ASAP. Make sure you have a AWD/4x4 vehicle as the road up IS steep. We got stuck on our way up to cabin one night but it was because it had drizzled the whole day and it was wet. Tires would just spin out. But we had made our way up on other days when it was dry. Reminder; very steep road coming up. For the locals it’s a piece of cake because they are used to driving on these kinds of roads. Our family and friends loved our trip to this area again.
