The cabin is located in the scenic and peaceful Homestead at Wears Valley community. You're less than 30 minutes from popular attractions including Dollywood, Soaky Mountain Waterpark, The Island in Pigeon Forge, Cades Cove, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Shopping, dining, and entertainment in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville are also just a short drive away.

Whether you're planning an adventure-filled getaway or a relaxing retreat surrounded by nature, Escape Into the Mist is the perfect place to make lasting memories.

    Guest Access:

Check-in is self-service: a keypad on the front door gives you a private code for the length of your stay, so there's no key exchange and no waiting around after a long drive. Once you're in, the entire cabin is yours — every level, the kitchen, each bedroom and bathroom, the laundry area, and both decks. Early check-in may be available if the cabin's ready ahead of schedule; we'll confirm the night before.

    The Neighborhood:

Into the Mist sits in the Homestead at Wears Valley, a peaceful community tucked into the Smoky Mountain foothills — close enough for a quick trip in, far enough that you'll actually hear the crickets at night.

    - Dollywood: about 25–30 minutes, the anchor attraction for most Smokies trips

    - Soaky Mountain Waterpark: roughly 20–25 minutes, an easy half-day for the kids

    - The Island in Pigeon Forge (Ferris wheel, shops, restaurants): about 20 minutes

    - Downtown Pigeon Forge Parkway (mini golf, go-karts, dinner shows): 15–20 minutes

This cabin puts you close enough to do it all without spending your vacation in the car.

    Getting Around:

The cabin is tucked away in a peaceful mountain setting, so having your own vehicle is the best way to get around. There’s no public transportation in the area, and ride-shares like Uber or Lyft can be limited or unavailable—especially during late hours or in more remote areas.

Most popular spots like Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park are all within a 25 to 40-minute drive, depending on traffic. We recommend downloading offline maps or pinning key locations ahead of time, as cell service can be spotty in the mountains.

The cabin is easily accessible via Wears Valley Road (US-321) and local mountain roads leading into the Homestead in Wears Valley community. From here, you’re about 10–15 minutes from US-321, which connects directly to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

    Other Things to Note:

Children must be supervised around the hot tub and any pool at all times, and use is at your own risk.

Free parking is available right on the property, with additional free street parking nearby for a second vehicle. Traveling with an EV? This cabin has an on-site Level 2 EV charger, so you can plug in overnight and wake up to a full charge before heading to Dollywood or the national park — no detour to a public charger required.

We want you to relax, so the rules here are more "be a good neighbor" than fine print. Check-in is after 4:00 PM, checkout before 10:00 AM, giving our team time to reset the cabin. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Dogs are welcome, though the hot tub and deck don't have a gate, so keep an eye on kids and pets around both. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are installed throughout. Starting November 1, guests must submit a valid ID and sign a rental agreement through our secure software — quick, and just to confirm who's staying with us. Treat the cabin like your own and you'll always be welcome back.

    Interaction with Guests:

You'll have the entire unit by yourselves! There will be no interaction with guests unless a request is made for additional services. But, we are always available via messages & phone.

Great place to stay. No problems at all with the cabin or the host. Would come back next year and stay at this cabin again if available. Lots of space for big families if needed. Thanks again for the great stay. Very relaxing week.
