Although the cabin feels private and secluded, it's just a short 30-minute drive to Dollywood and all the attractions of the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area. You're never far from excitement when you're ready to explore.

Seasonal Lake Information for Your Stay
Summer (May - Mid-September): The lake is typically fullest during this period. Guests will have access to Blackwood Lodge's private dock for their enjoyment. The neighborhood also has a 'beach' with additional access to the lake.

Fall/Winter (Mid-September - late April): The TVA controls the water levels for Douglas Lake. In the fall and winter months, they lower the water level, rendering the dock at Blackwood Lodge unusable. Blackwood Lodge's rental rates are priced accordingly throughout the year to account for the lost lake amenity. There are plenty of hiking trails and even a petting zoo in the neighborhood, along with the nearby attractions of Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. The house has a heated indoor pool, hot tub, plenty of outdoor spaces with two fire pits and corn hole, stocked board games, arcade games, and plenty of fun.

Our stay didn't quite start off the way we wanted because my Mom got hurt due to an accident. However, the cabin was in a beautiful location, my family had a great time and loved the amenities and view, and the property managers communicated exceptionally well with us and were very kind.

We had such a great time! The house was so fun and spacious! There were so many things to do in the house with the arcade room and indoor pool! But also so much to do outside with the best dock, outdoor patio and fireplace! The location was great and I would highly recommend staying here!

Suburb view and fun 2-story dock

We had everything we needed for our extended family trip. The kids were entertained all day out on the lake with slide, jumping, kayaks & paddleboarding, then had pool & gameroom inside. Our 2nd stay at this cabin. Response waa very quick, but didnt need a thing once arrived except groceries.

Perfect place to stay with teens

The house was beautiful. Just as described in the listing. The rooms were beautiful. There were so many things for all of us to do (ages 16-43). The game room and indoor pool were fun. All of the extra toys at the dock kept everyone entertained. The space for our boat was more than enough. There are plenty of books and games in the house. They even included little extras that were a sweet touch. We would definitely rebook.

Blackwood Lodge

We loved our stay here! The house and view are both amazing. The pool, hot tub and game room were so much fun! Owner was quick to communicate and very helpful! We would love to stay here again!
