“Black Bear lodge is a great getaway and excellent base to explore the area as it’s so central. We had excellent communication ahead of our check in, a real warm welcome and helpful with dining tips.
The room was spacious and comfortable.
The lodge is just off the main road but if we heard a car we didn’t notice, it’s so quiet around there.
The place is ideal if you’re looking to escape a few days, there was fresh coffee and pastries in the morning and loads of free parking.

Only issue was the coffee maker did not have the pot to go with it. I had to put my cup under the spout and push up against the coffee maker nozzle with my fingers to coax the hot coffee to come out! HOT coffee which my fingers didn’t enjoy.”
