Lake house, Dock, 3 beds/3 full baths. Pet friendly!

Welcome to Mousam Lake! Located in the heart of Southern Maine Lakes Region in Shapleigh Maine. Year round home! 3 bedrooms/ 3 queen beds and 2 twin beds. 1st FLOOR has living room looking out to the lake! Full kitchen with all the essentials and more for your stay. Washer/dryer on 1st floor. Upper level has master bedroom/full bath, another bedroom and full bath.

At the Lakehouse you will have private access to our lakefront and fabulous outdoor space! 2 large picnic tables, outdoor firepit, plenty of seating, cafe lighting, and gas grill.

Close to ski areas, tubing, snowboarding, outlets. Other activities: ice fishing, ice skating, snow shoeing, hiking, biking. Snow plowing upkeep in winter.

Dogs okay! $50 per dog per booking. Cats not okay.

We have 1 dock space for you to bring your boat or jet skis. We have Kayak rentals (3) available. And 2 jet ski rentals. Awesome swimming area. Jump in and cool off from the dock and swim to dock ladder to do it again!

WiFi tv’s, keypad entry, plenty of parking behind house. No traffic. No busy roads. Set deep off the main road. The area is only residential homes so there is no busy road traffic.

When you walk in you will know we take pride in the Lakehouse and we also live in this community and rely only on ourselves for all cleaning and upkeep. We are very responsive and helpful if you need anything during your stay. We recently added heat/ac pumps in all rooms for extra comfort level and the ac in the summer is extremely quiet, efficient, and set by thermostat. No freezing with window units here! There are security cameras on the exterior of the building only and are turned off when guests are staying. Thank you for looking at this beautiful property.

Lovely stay at Mousam Lake

We had a great stay at the Lakehouse. The property was exactly as described. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and very responsive. The property was very clean and well cared for. Gorgeous lake views from the house. We made good use of the fire pit at night. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and had an amazing time swimming and fishing. We were a family of 5 and it fit us perfectly.

Great weekend at the lake!

Our group loved our stay! The property had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. The property was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and having dinner with a beautiful view of the lake. Sitting around the fire after dinner was a lot of fun. The outside area is beautiful. We would recommend this property!

Long weekend getaway

This property was well maintained, clean and plenty spacious. They also have a really nice entertainment area that is lakeside. (Unfortunately we weren’t able to use it as we stayed in the dead of winter) we did however enjoy the lake as we did some ice fishing with the kids. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. Thanks for a great weekend

Ice Fishing in Shapleigh

Spent the week in this lovely house by the lake. The weather didn't always cooperate, but when we were on the ice, the fishing was great. The house is lovely and a nice size for 6 people. Lovely little neighborhood with very little vehicle traffic in the winter. Owner is super responsive. This was our third visit to this camp for ice fishing, and all three visits were comfortable and fun!

Quick fall getaway

Great property on a wonderful lake. House is clean and spacious. Owner is responsive and communication was excellent. Would like to come back in the spring when the docks will be in and the fishing might be a bit better. Overall would highly recommend.

Could’ve been better.

I feel taken advantage of because the owner charged an entire daily rate to check in two hours early. I still would appreciate a partial refund of the $300 plus dollars extra I paid. Communication on the owners part came off as rude and was also incorrect regarding details of the amenities in the listing. Lastly, the pictures in the listing feel somewhat deceptive as the house is not on the lakeside. There is in fact a public dirt road between the lake and the house. Having said all this, in spite of the major issues outlined above, our stay was reasonably enjoyable and the home was clean and well appointed. Also I think there may be two people managing the listing and one is very nice and communicative, while the other clearly doesn’t have the patience or desire to be working in the hospitality industry. part felt rude on twooccasions.

Perfect family getaway

The property is in a beautiful location. I could sit by the lake all day and evening. The house was very clean and comfortable, providing all necessary items plus more. The primary bedroom is massive! Our busy family was able to relax, eat, and enjoy our time together. A++

Relaxing Break from Routine

We loved staying at Tejay’s house. It is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The dock and sitting area/firepit are across the dirt road, but it’s quiet there, and no problem at all. We enjoyed using his kayaks and walking in the neighborhood with our 2 dogs. And, there were loons!!! We hope to rent his home again!!

Great family vacation spot!

My family (three adult couples, one infant, 3 dogs) spent a relaxing week lakeside. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms each couple had their own space. The primary bedroom upstairs had a crib set up for the infant so I didn’t need to use the pack and play or bassinet that I brought. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook each day and having use of the laundry room was helpful as we were able to use it throughout the week. The real star of the property is the patio space which is located across the (quiet and not frequently traveled) street from the home and on the waterfront. We spent most of our time outside at the fire pit or in one of the many chairs looking out over the lake. We enjoyed use of the 3 kayaks to explore the lake and had coffee each morning on the dock. There’s also a propane grill and a smaller charcoal grill available for use. An overall great spot to spend a week with family!

Family lakeside getaway

We had a great time at this lake house. Highly recommend. This house was very comfortable for everyone. We loved the firepit and lights. Jetskis are a blast on the lake. Very relaxing time. We will be back!!

Weekend regroup

The property was just as advertised. Clean and very spacious. The view of the lake from the house were amazing. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the setup. When we arrived we say out at the dock in the late evening and enjoyed the tranquility of both the water and the stars. Next evening we had a nice fire and a few cocktails. Just relaxing and listening to some music. We both highly recommend this property to a family/ friends or if you are just looking to spend some peaceful time with the one you love.

Outstanding!

Perfect week spent with family and our two pooches! House had everything we needed. Location was great. Firepit and party lights kept us outside at night. We rented their jet skis which was key. We also rented a pontoon boat from Parker’s Boathouse right down the street. Grocery and liquor stores close by for quick runs. Tejay, the homeowner, was responsive and informative. Already looking at available weeks for next summer!
