Denna pittoreska hundvänliga stuga har ett möblerat däck med utsikt över Sierra Cedars Pond, tre mysiga sovrum, en gaspanna och plats för upp till sex gäster. Observera att om familjen hundar kommer att gå med dig, det finns en extra nattlig avgift.

Detta hem är undanstoppad bland träden bara tre miles söder om Shaver Lake, ett vänligt samhälle som erbjuder butiker och en mängd olika kaféer, restauranger och barer, inklusive Shaver Lake Pizza, Trading Post för fina middagar och Shorthorn Bar & Grill. Vi rekommenderar alla gäster att utnyttja Sierra Marina för en våt slip och / eller trailer parkering.

Beautiful view! Bedrooms/Bathrooms were comfortable and well stocked. We had 3 days of solid rain, but it did not damper our days at all! Couple of things to note - the TV in the living room is not a "smart" TV, so no Netflix, Hulu, etc. My kiddos brought a Nintendo Switch so we watched Hulu through that. Direct TV is available. They also have a DVD player, with a limited selection of DVDs available, so bring your faves for a movie night! Kitchen was well stocked in terms of pots/pans/bowls/cups/etc. However, there were no "community pantry" type items (foil, ziplock bags, baking soda) so just be sure and pack those items if you need them. Ken's Market is about 7 mins away if you forget anything. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back for another stay!

After a bad stay at a cabin at Huntington this was a beautiful place and just what we needed! Everything was spotless and wonderful! This is our 3rd stay here and will definitely be back! It is very peaceful and we we love the pond with the ducks, and we feed the blue jays and squirrels peanuts from the deck! Excellent vaca in the mountains. After losing a cabin at Huntington to the Creek Fire in 2020, my heart needs mountain therapy!

Nice stay but a few items need attention

This place is perfect for small families it is located in a cute quiet neighborhood 10 mins from town. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. A few items need attention. The master shower door doesn’t shut so water leaks.. we had to use several towels to soak up water each time we showered. Also the fridge makes a loud noice when trying to make ice which doesn’t work. The fireplace was very warm and cozy.

Waterfront getaway

The waterfront is a pond and the quote close to the lake is not true It’s not close to anything About a 10 minute drive to the lake and the restaurants etc Very hard to find hidden down a road The navigation says you are at your destination but you really aren’t Don’t even try and do it after it gets dark We had to go back in the morning to find it The place is run down and dirty the only part that made it worth it was the pond and the views

Shaver Lake August Stay

Rustic old cabin on beautiful pond in high Sierras near Shaver Lake. A great place for you and your dog to watch the ducks and frogs, while barbequing, after a day at the lake

Both VBRO and Vacassa need the same policies on items concerning refunds, cancelation, etc. V

Rental is OLD, there are safety issues, patio, walkway, front door, shower door. Children and pets could easily get hurt. Inside is from 1960 and 70s construction and decoration. The furniture a d furnishings are from yard or thrift stores. Carpet is old and filthy. We left a day early, couldn't relax there or sleep.

Nice, clean cabin

We had a good experience at the cabin. We were in Shaver Lake for our son's wedding. The cabin was clean and in a quiet location. It was nice to seat on the deck and watch the baby ducks in the pond. Beautiful view seating on the deck. We were disappointed that we couldn't have other family members visit. I understand the limit was 6 but we didn't see why it would be a problem just to have visitors. Things to fix, clean bbq, blinds on deck side were hard to open and dishwasher needs to be secured. When I had the bottom rack out with several plates, the dishwasher was falling out.

The property was perfect for our family of 4 (3 adults and 2 children). Quiet neighborhood

The property was perfect for our family of 4 (3 adults and 2 children). Plenty of snow right outside to build a snowman and play. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. All bedrooms were equipped with small space heaters to keep you warm through the night. Living room was comfortable to hang out an watch the satellite TV with DVR. We cooked all meals at the house for our 2-night stay here. The neighborhood is very quiet and nice. Our only complaint would be the refrigerator never got cold enough to put food in it. We followed all instructions on the printout taped to the fridge and it never got cold. We made due with our ice chest from home, but any longer than 2 nights would need a working refrigerator. I recommend having it checked. Will stay here again, but only if the issue is resolved. Would have given 5-stars otherwise.

Quiet place for a quick weekend getaway

The location was great, overlooking a marsh, even with the drought, it’s still nice to sit outside and enjoy our meals. Property management didn’t provide dishwashing towels or sponge, please bring your own. Also didn’t provide extra trash bags for waste removal. There are a few pet stains on the carpet. Other than that, fairly clean. They asked that we run a load of dishes, but they didn’t provide enough dishwasher detergent for us to do so. We stayed 3 nights and only received 2 detergent packets for the dishwasher. Overall still a great place to stay.

A Nice Getaway

My family and I loved this place! It was tucked away in the trees in a beautiful location. The house itself was cozy and neat. The fireplace was perfect especially because it started snowing the next day and it kept us all very warm. I love that they allowed dogs to so we could take our dog. Overall I HIGHLY recommend staying here and would probably stay again!

Great little cabin

Awesome little cabin on a beautiful little pond! We took our 2 year old son to the snow for the first time (end of February) and luckily there was snow around the cabin to enjoy! He loved it! Dog friendly for our Chocolate Lab equipped with dog bowls for feeding and filled with water upon our arrival. Cabin was clean and nice. Kitchen a little small but did the trick. We spent most of our time on the huge deck overlooking the pond and ducks, playing in snow, bbqing and enjoying our portable propane fire pit that we brought in the evenings. The fireplace heater really gets the cabin toasty quickly inside. Cant wait to come stay again. Only thing I can complain about is a couple cabins over the people left their dogs out on deck that faces this cabin and they didn’t STOP barking the whole time we’d be outside. Which was basically the whole time we were there. But like I already said.. I would stay here again

Pups were happy to ‘GO’ ...!

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us and our dogs! They loved coming along for our short get away and it was great not having to leave them behind. Everything was very clean. The fire was cozy. Although it turned out ok by luck, it may have been a problem... When we arrived, the door code to get in would not open. THANK GOODNESS by chance the property manager had come by to pick up trash left by the previous tenants.

Fishing stay

The property was clean and organized. Loved the firm beds and everything about them was clean. Ample, easy parking. Very satisfied with the stay, would stay again. The trout fishing at Shaver Lake was slow, thank goodness for the bass pond and the huge bass.

Cabin by the pond

Enjoyed our stay at the cabin by the pond. Liked the tv in each of the three bedrooms. Nice deck to relax on. Sad that the BBQ's propane tank was empty. Also, there was no hot water for our shower. Had to search and find the hot water heater to switch over the breaker to get the hot water.Would have been nice to have some info about that when we arrived.

Needs updates

When we arrived the house had lots of spider webs all over the the house and the railings that could have easily been swiped away before our arrival.The house had no a.c. so there where fans on when we got there. The view from the deck was beautiful but a lot closer to the pond than I thought(about 20 feet). I'm glad we brought bug spray because there were tons of bugs. The rooms were nice size and there was cable in each room which was nice. The kitchen was very small. There were mice droppings in the cabinet where the dishes were and also in the bottom of the stove. Also there was no storage space for our groceries. The blinds for the sliding glass door were old and falling apart. I have stayed in quite a few cabins and I was a little disappointed with this one. The best thing about this place was the pond. I would not rent this house again.
