âWe had a lovely one night stay recently for a wedding we were attending in the rivercourt hotel, it was amazing value for money. The man dealing with us on check in was so so kind and chatty, we had arranged early check in prior to our stay and this was absolutely no problem which was great. All of the staff, without exception, have been kind, compassionate and gracious without intruding, but we have experienced their kindness in so many ways during our time here, too many times to mention each one.
We had chosen a suite to stay in this time; it was clean and perfect for all we had to do, including the to-ing and fro-ing of all the funeral arrangements and calls. The room was quiet and comfortable, and my wife LOVED the bath, which she enjoyed in the evenings after the difficulties of running around arranging the funeral.
One evening, our last night, we ordered food and drinks. The food and drinks were 'lost' in the system and delayed. When we mentioned it, we were given our food for free and multiple apologies from the staff.
Can I say whoever trains these staff does a fantastic job? I like that they have the autonomy to fix things or make decisions that keep the customer happy.
We will visit Kilkenny regularly and in favour of more trendy or even expensive places we will come back to the Pembroke again because of our fantastic and memorable experience here"
