“Ample parking. Amazing breakfast. Great views”

“Good place for stay overnight with family”

“Clean room, helpful staff. Good breakfast options”

“The bathroom shower head had rust on it. There was timescale on the shower basin. The shower screen has soap scum reminiants. Only 1 bath towel and face towel for a 2 night stay for 2 people. The pictures showed toiletries. There were none. The soap dispenser had been watered down. The young girl who appeared to be doing everything went to the shop to buy us a fresh hand soap. The bedding was all creased up and had not been ironed and the pillowcase covers had come away at the stitching....

“We enjoyed the spacious suite that had a gorgeous view of Durham Cathedral. The location was perfect walking distance to the river and attractions and restaurants in town.”

“A very quirky clean boutique hotel with fantastic sea view. I would highly recommend it”

“Good size bedroom, excellent breakfast, great staff”

“Better than expected. Don’t write off these hotels. Way nicer than many upmarket properties out there.”

“Staying here was amazing. The room was just what I needed for my one night stay in Durham. The bus stop wasn’t far away and was very easy to get into the city center. I arrived a little bit early and they didn’t even flinch to get me into my room. Highly recommend!”

“Quirky rooms but very unclean, tv was like watching a tv from 2010 terrible quality.”

“Ett vackert slott-hotell som är nära till motorvägen. Utmärkt frukost och väldigt fin atmosfär hela området. Trevlig och hjälpsamma personal. Sköna sängar. Goda drinkar på baren. Vi rekommenderar detta hotellet :) Tack för den vistelsen”

The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.”

“First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....
