“Our stay here was the highlight of a three week vacation in Japan. It is an unique, deep immersion into Japan culture and hospitality while still being comfortable for non-Japanese. The tranquility and quality of the environment, the accommodations, and the food were exceptional. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. They savored their role as guides into the culture and traditions that they offered. While it was a very traditional experience, the facilities...

“Fantastiskt hotell med ett bra läge. Vi bodde på hotellet fyra nätter och är jättenöjda. ”

“All personal var oerhört trevlig, proaktiv och både utsikten från rummet och rummet i sig var väldigt fint. Mycket god frukost och otrolig service! En toppen-upplevelse helt enkelt.”

“The Aoi Hotel is located centrally to great restaurants, shopping, local attractions, and beautiful views. I was pleasantly surprised to be far enough from the main hustle and bustle to have peace and quiet, but close enough to walk to enjoy Kyoto. The staff is helpful and friendly, just a chat away using their cool interactive pad accessible in the room. Our room had a washer/dryer and they provided detergent, which helped us get reset for our time in Kyoto. Did I mention it’s spacious! We had...

“Absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel was impeccably clean, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. We were able to check in early, and the staff kindly stored our luggage after checkout, which was incredibly convenient. The complimentary breakfast and nightly ramen were such a lovely bonus. The hotel also has an onsite laundry room, spacious rooms, and large TVs. Everything was thoughtfully provided, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is also fantastic,...

“This quaint hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and rooms were a good size. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto. It was a short walk to Nishiki market and had tons of local restaurants near it too.”

“Great spot! Pretty self service for the most part but a great spot right in Gion.”

“Everything was good except the check in kiosks which was a bit confusing and time consuming”

“This small hotel is really cute. The rooms are clean, equipped and super nice! The staff was really helpful and polite. They have breakfast and they have 2 light meals during the day which were good and perfect for what they are. Really happy with the property and the experience. I loved the bathtub with view on the interior garden.”

“The room was amazing, really spacious and nice decorated. The staff were super friendly and helpful.”

“Topphotell”

“This hotel is amazing. The breakfast was really nice with a set menu plus buffé, real fresh honey and juices. The bed cover felt like clouds and the view from the bar and restaurant was perfect, looking over gion and the riverbank. It’s also a few meters from a cute ”old Kyoto street” narrow with restaurants and lanterns.”

“What a wonderful experience! Every member of the staff here was so kind, professional and eager to go above and beyond. The room was beautiful, comfortable and had so many lovely amenities. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was delicious with the staff remembering our coffee orders each morning. Highest praise for this hotel. We can’t wait to return!”

“Rymligt, fint,mysigt, väldigt bra läge.”
