“Stayed 2 nights to rest and recover before going to Tokyo. The hotel was a short walk from the station with idyllic scenery with beautiful Sakura and mountains. The personelle were super nice and helpful. They provided a free bus ride to the snow monkey park. The room was spacious and comfy. The hotel dinner and breakfast were amazing. “Fabulous stay. Clean, comfy, and within walking distance to the entirety of Kusatsu Onsen. The japanese breakfast was excellent. Relaxing indoors and outdoors onsen despite being in a town full of them. Bit of a language barrier for some of the staff but nothing that should surprise anyone who've travelled around Japan for a bit. Pick the yukata that catches your eye and be sure to stroll through town clad in it during the evening.”

“The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. My futon had two layers and although I like a firm mattress, I did think it was quite sore on my back the 1st night. Common areas include the kitchen, cafe and lounge.
