The reason we chose this hotel was because it had an onsite restaurant. We had to crawl on the floor to get the refrigerator turned on. There was no soap in the bathroom, but a soap dish--the housekeeper didn't have any--we had to go to the front desk for a simple bar of soap???? “This hotel is fantastic! Gorgeous design, super friendly staff, perfect location, and great connection to the uva community. The rooms were well appointed with super soft robes and towels. The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!”

“I booked a room due to an EARLY morning surgery at nearby UVA Hospital since we live 2 1/2 hours away. The staff was so accommodating with a first floor room to minimize patient's in house travel. The beds were so comfortable which helped with a good nights sleep in spite of all us having pre surgery nerves. I would definitely book again should the need arise for us to be in the area again.”
