The restored farmhouse is a classic home in South-West France. You can expect ancient stonework blended with modern sensibilities. The farmhouse is fully furnished and equipped with all necessary amenities and appliances, including a few extras we think you'll love! For week-long guests you will receive our classic family welcome basket with a set of goodies to get you started and tailored advice for the local area, guaranteeing you'll always find the best spots and events here in Aquitaine. The Gite includes a back garden to host parties al fresco style, a terrace out front gives you a full view of the beautiful old church and the picturesque scene of the vineyards, the quintessential southern French landscape, with some of the grapevines growing adjacent to the property! The three bedrooms are equipped with two king-size and two single beds, plenty of storage capacity, and a travel cot for any youngsters. The farmhouse is perfect for all your furry friends, with an enclosed back garden. For the more adventurous there is an equestrian centre to the rear of the property just past the grapes!
The farmhouse is situated within Lestignac, a small village of only a few stone structures. The old village church is just opposite the property, with great fields of vineyards surrounding the area. Just beyond the bottom of the garden, you'll find an equestrian center that's perfect to visit, and if you're lucky you'll catch sight of the foals playing. This area is filled with nature trails and walks that capture the relaxed atmosphere of South-West France. Just beyond Lestignac is the village of Sigoulès. The village is only 5 minutes away, so it is accessible on foot, by bike, and by car. The village has a supermarket, pharmacy, bar/restaurant, boulangerie, school, post office, garage, bank, and doctor. On Saturday mornings the village hosts a market in the town square. The farmhouse is perfectly positioned, as it is only 15 minutes away from Bergerac Airport, as well as only 12 minutes from the famous market town of Eymet. To make transportation easy, there is a bus stop just in front of the Gite that can take you to all these places!
