“Charming B&B in a scenic corner of Connecticut. If you have a car there are several scenic areas within easy reach. The building has historicla atmosphere; as a consequence the itnerior decorating tends toward heavy oak and canopied beds. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment; the serve-yourself banana bread and add-water oatmeal bags left in a corner did not match the ambience of the place.”

“This is a gem of a place. I have stayed at the abner many times and am delighted to say it is always a treat. The hotel is warm charming sparkling clean and perfectly located with shopping and dining just outside your doors. The rooms are comfortably appointed with all the extras of a posh stay . The breakfast is a must and don’t skip the frittata. Dinner is a cozy culinary experience with an ample menu to cover many tastes but dine exquisitely. If open do not miss out on the rooftop lounge...

“The house was cozy and comfortable. The location was great while dropping our son off at Wesleyan University for his sophomore year. The lake was a peaceful place to relax and read.”

“Check in and out were easy; beds uncomfortable: no desk or desk chair: basement door in kitchen peeling: front screen door rusted; otherwise rooms clean”

“The AC was great. The mattresses seemed new and comfortable. The outlet in the bathroom did not work so had to dry our hair in the entry way. There were some small ants seeming to come in from by the window and under the fridge by the desk. The breakfast was a poor selection and poor choices. Only Trix for cereal. We left and went elsewhere to eat and get coffee. ”
