“I did not like staying here at all. The room was not clean, dust all over and gross floors. The room was too hot and had no air condition. I found two giant spiders on the floor. Went for a meal in the restaurant, and there was a 30 minute wait for a table, on a Tuesday.. ”

New Hobbit has no restaurant or pub, though this was explained at final payment and full refund offered if this had mistakenly been expected. Also complementary croissants and instant porridge provided in the room, which I took advantage of. Overall a good stay if all you want is good, cosy room and take your own food and drink.”

“A pleasant hotel on the top of the hills. The service was very good. One morning my breakfast was delayed due to a conference and I was given that on the house. The room looked a bit worn but pleasant and comfortable enough. My only criticism was the £100 damages deposit that they ask for upfront. I have never been to a hotel that asks for that.”

“Everything at this Hotel is amazing. I took my wife here for our 49th Anniversary, for a 2 night break and our Honeymoon Suite was fabulous. Great views over the hills. Room was spotless and comfortable. All staff were really helpful, but I must mention, Michael who was here there and everywhere and on hand when you needed him.
