âEveryone should visit Manor House and West Bexington. Quiet, personal and good for your soul.
The rooms (or the room we had) had a somewhat poorer standard than the common areas. But net and clean and I had the best night sleep at Manor House during my vacation.
Staff and locals made you feel at home and cared for at the best way possible. â

âThis charming traditional hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location, only 3 mins walk to the seafront.
Our room was spacious and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Sidmouth itself is a delightful English seaside town with plenty to see and do, eg walking options a plenty, repertory theatre, open air concerts in the seafront gardens and a variety of exhibitions. â
âThe staff went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival (thank you!) and to cater for my dietary requirements at breakfast. Charming and attentive service, lovely room. Only slight problem with one of the mattresses needing to be propped up with cushions as not level.â
âFantastic hotel. I typically stay at modern 5 star hotels with work and this was a great place (and I (unfortunately) have a pretty snobby taste). Staff great, older look but modern facilities. â
âIf you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only ÂŁ10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it.â
