“It is a nice place to stay if you are in the area on a business trip (in my case the company I visited was within <10 min walking distance). The area is quiet and far from disturbing traffic and other noise. The hotel supplied all the services required for my stay. There is also a gym located in the same building. In general the impression is good. However, one night the fire alarm started (false alarms) repetadly during a period of almost one hour.”

“We had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous! “Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
