“We used to stay in motels around Brookings until we found this place. It’s perfect for the whole family (even dogs as it is fully fenced) and you can’t help just wandering around the yard and relaxing in the hammock or backyard swings. This place made us slow down and enjoy the sweet moments of a family vacation. “This is a great spot if you are looking for a quiet charming place to enjoy some down time. It’s best probably for a couple, but will sleep more. The cabin itself is marvelous. It’s small and very efficiently laid out. The builder handmade much of it and everything is wonderfully crafted. You can feel the quality of the hand construction. The location is a bit tricky to find on arrival especially at night, but follow the directions and it’s not a problem. It becomes easy once you’ve been there....

“We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the privacy the trees on the property provided. The bed in the loft was comfortable, but the sleeping areas provided downstairs were not ideal. A thin pad on plywood benches. A very dog friendly beach was a short walk away. Overall it was a great experience for the cost.”

“Loved everyhing about this motel. It was clean, comfortabe, convenient location and parking. It felt safe and the bed was cozy. I found it unusual that the office closes at 9 PM and was not opened when we left at 10 AM but thankfully everything was good. Staff called me to let me know they close soon and left my key and reciept for me stuck to the office door. Staff was friendly. 10/10 overall. ”

“Might not look spectacular from the outside, but this is a really nice place! :) We stayed 1 night, as a stop on a longer road trip. The staff was very sweet, helpful and funny. We got a clean and big room with fridge, bathtub and a cute little rubber ducky for bath time. Great value for your money! Several good bars and restaurants are just a short walk down the street.”

“Room was nice and clean. Somewhat tired with floor warping (due to water?) and some pealing paint on the door. Also the main door did not seal well so lots of light (and noise) could enter. Main issue was the lack of a spare blanket. The room was cold which was great for sleeping but a second blanket would have been nice to have.”

“Once construction is done I feel like this will be a go to stay for us when in the area. The coffee bar in the lobby is pretty great, and the room we stayed in was clean and very comfy. I stayed here in October and the pool was not usable because it "hadn't been treated." This stay they said it was down because they were waiting on a part for the pump. I feel like they should take the pool off the list of amenities. I chose this motel both times because of the pool so that was disappointing. ”
