"Disappointed.
The hotelâs location was great: close to downtown and the River Walk. The price was low too. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended.
Looking back, I wish I had paid a little more to stay somewhere else. The online photos were misleading. The lobby looked nice, but the rest of the hotel did not match it. The rooms and hallways felt old, worn down, and poorly maintained. It felt like someone tried to put lipstick on a pig.
In my room, it looked like someone had carved a swastika into the wallpaper above the bed. The refrigerator looked like it came from a scrapyard, with marks from a previous lock. There were old drill holes in the walls, strange fixtures, a desk with no chair, and an old stained armchair I did not want to use.
The Wi-Fi was the biggest issue. It was terrible, which was especially frustrating since I had come there to work. Their solution was to "sit in the lobby to work". No thanks.
The pillows were uncomfortable, and the bathroom layout was awkward â you had to close the door just to get into the shower.
I also accidentally left some workout clothes drying in the room. That was my fault, but the follow-up was disappointing. I chased the hotel for days, and they kept saying they would call back but never did. Eventually, they claimed nothing had been found and that they âlog everything left behind.â I do not believe that. I think the clothes were thrown away, but they refused to admit it.
I will not stay here again."
