Good place in a beautiful area
Moon Mountain Lodge is located in a beautiful spot where you can enjoy the sunset from the veranda while having a refreshing bath in the private mini pool. Service was really good, they let us in to our room before check in time and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. The rooms were large, comfortable and well equipped. The Lodge is located just under two hours from Sossusvlei with its beautiful sand dunes.

Excellent value for money
A great place to stay some 30KM from Solitaire, 50KM from Sesriem and additional 70KM to Sossusveil. To be in the middle of nowhere, it is a "smart middle" with world class terraces. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

One of the coolest places I ever stayed at...
In the middle of nowhere you stay in something between a tent and a bungalow with one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in. Stunning views from the porch (beware if you have kids with you), a small pool and even a refrigerator in the room. Food is good, especially considering the remote location. A strong recommendation for a very special experience.

Great place. The views are stunning, the food was great, full bar and the staff were very friendly. The manager even drove me to another lodge twice to get transport to the park and later to get a bus back to Windhoek. I'd definitely come back to this place!

Die Moon Mountain Lodge hat eine einmalige Lage, mitten in der Wüste am Berg gelegen, mit einem kleinen Pool vor jedem Zimmer, wirklich außergewöhnlich. Toll, um den Sternenhimmel und Sonnenauf/untergang zu sehen!! Personal extrem freundlich und bemüht. Essen sehr gut. Das einzige, was man wissen muss: es handelt sich um Zelte, die nicht klimatisiert sind und auch keinen Ventilator an der Decke haben. So war es zu unserer Zeit, wenn man kaputt von den Dünen kam, bei 38 Grad draussen, extrem warm im Zimmer und etwas schwer zu erholen. Ansonsten können wir die Lodge nur empfehlen!!

Un petit cocon dans un cadre exceptionnel !
Ce lodge perché sur le haut d’une colline est sublime, la vue depuis chaque chambre est absolument magnifique et très relaxante. Nous avons également apprécié le personnel qui était très sympathique ainsi que le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner, le choix était copieux et excellent. L’apéritif organisé sur la terrasse du restaurant pour le coucher du soleil est un merveilleux souvenir. La chambre était elle aussi très spacieuse et jolie, avec une vue complète sur le lever du soleil et les animaux sauvages. La piscine était le seul petit bémol; l’état de l’eau ne donnait pas envie de s’y plonger, mais nous avons fréquemment rencontré ce soucis dans les lodges en Namibie. En bref, nous recommandons avec grand plaisir !

Una birra fresca e una vista spettacolare sono stati il punto forte. Ottima la cena con una lasagna e un dolce al cioccolato chiamato malva pudding, davvero inaspettati. Camera e bagno migliorabile, d'altronde sono una serie di palafitte sulle quali sono installate delle tende.

A great stay at moon mountain lodge
Southern Namibia isn’t an easy place to find hotels, luckily we found moon mountain lodge and it served as an amazing home base for my travels to Sossusvlei and Sesreim. Breakfast and dinner were included with our rate, the staff was welcoming and went out of our way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Relaxing Stay
This lodge is spectacular with views for miles, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and offer the same panoramic views to wake up to. It's a bit further from Sesriem but definitely worth the drive as it offers a superior Namib experience to the lodges around the entrance in my opinion. Would definitely stay there again.

Best lodge ever
It has been the best lodge I have ever seen. It is over a mountain facing an infinite valley. The sunset there is speechless. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The food is great. The room was very spacious and we had also a private patio with a small pool. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place surrounded by the nature.

Nous avons séjourné dans la suite. Les draps étaient tachés. Le matin, nous nous sommes réveillés avec des piqûres de punaises de lit. La tente est moyenne, un peu vétuste. La piscine ne tient pas sa promesse. Elle était sale, impossible d’y mettre un pied. Service : expérience mitigée. Certains employés étaient sympas, d’autres beaucoup moins. Les repas ne sont pas fameux, mais ça fait l’affaire. Le petit dej est correct. Lodge largement surcoté. Je déconseille

Dear Harmonie, Thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback and see it as constructive criticism. I spoke with one of the lodge managers by the name of Festus. He explained to me that winter is approaching. The pool temperature drops and it becomes too cold to enjoy a swim. The pools are not dirty, they are cleaned and treated every day. If it had a bit of sand on the bottom, its because of the wind that blows some sand / dust in the pools. We are in a natural desert environment and this is a daily phenomena with nature. The sheets are soaked in stain remover after every stay, there are no stains on any of the lodge sheets. The bed bugs you are referring are grass mosquitos that are common this time of year. These mosquitoes do get into areas where people are and they especially bite while you sleep and on the body parts that are not covered by the blanket / duvet. Normal insect repellent is a good choice to avoid insect bites. In your case it was your neck area. If it were bed bugs you would have been bitten all over your body. You might have squashed some of the mosquitoes during your sleep which might be the stains you noticed on the sheets / duvet cover. Food at the lodge is usually one of the areas we get very good reviews on. You are welcome to read previous reviews to see the comments. We apologize if the meal was not to your satisfaction. The lodge did however confirmed that you finish your plates without complaints. We hope the rest of your stay in Namibia was enjoyable. Kind regardsMoon ML.

It was located in quite, great view area and I could see incredible beautiful sun set scene from my room bed with coffee!! It was one of the greatest sun set scene in my experience. We can enjoy breakfast in great view with sun rise from terrace. Strongly recommended. Staffs are kind and friendly.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits au Moon Mountain et c'est pour nous de loin le meilleur établissement que nous avons fréquenté durant notre séjour en Namibie. Le personnel est accueillant, à l'écoute et aux petits soins, Notre lodge était bien équipé avec une vue imprenable lors du coucher du soleil. Le petit-déjeuner et le dîner étaient délicieux. Un sans faute... le plus c'est que l'établissement n'est pas très loin de Sesriem et Solitaire

Highly recommended lodge!
Very nice lodge with a view on the savanna. Excellent service by the staff and good food quality. Comfortable room We had the very nice surprise to have a hot water bottle in our bed to warm it as the outside temperature was low during our stay.

Unbezahlbarer Ausblick
Das Hotel ist einzigartig. Die Zelte sind wunderschön. Der Ausblick ist unbezahlbar. Vom Bett, von der Toilette und der Badewanne hat man eine unvergesslichen Ausblick. Wir hatten einen Pool. Man konnte direkt von dort aus den Sonnenuntergang beobachten.

Good stay, Fessy the host great
Rooms are large, bed comfortable, lighting standard, not as good as I would like. Staff very good, food very good. Nice vista from every room. Few animals during our two nights Remote location. Room acces iffy for those with mobility issues. For most people no problem. I would reccomend to a friend.

Une vue à couper le souffle
Très bel endroit avec un lodge très original accroché à la montagne. Chambre vaste avec une immense salle de bain accessible par un petit passage extérieur. Les repas sont moyens mais nous n’étions que 2 couples de clients. On aurait apprécié un accueil plus chaleureux et que l’on nous propose de nous aider pour porter nos bagages car l’accès est compliqué.

Amazing place
Fantastic place with huge rooms and an amazing view over the Namib desert, both from the restaurant and the room. Great diner and great breakfast. Definitely recommended!

Pleasant stay
Due to the Covid the hotel was very empty and we were the only guests staying at the lodge the first night, which gave the stay a bit of an eerie atmosphere. Nevertheless the staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious with spectacular views, albeit slightly dated.

Great escape into the desert. Peaceful and the sunrises and sunsets are out of this world! The staff are also pretty amazing and go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable.
