Lake Cumberland Retreat
Beautiful house with great kitchen near upper end of Lake Cumberland, Burnside & Somerset. If Wolf Creek Dam is the "alpha" then this property is the Omega Retreat.

Awesome place
Peaceful quiet setting, home is very well appointed and has everything needed to enjoy a few days with friends. Lots of seating on the decks and around the fire pit. We loved our time there and would highly recommend!

REUNION OLD FARTS
This location was wonderful for our 10 person adult group. Very well stocked and accommodating. Wished closer to a marina to leave boats, but all worked out wonderfully. big kudos to host.

Quiet Retreat

Making Memories
Each year we look for an adventurous place to spend our family vacation. The Omega Retreat was absolutely wonderful and we had a great time making lots of cherished memories. The owners were so attentive to every detail and everything we needed was in place when we arrived. They went above and beyond with the pontoon boat rental which absolutely made a fun week on the river together. The home is beautiful and can accommodate a family of 8 adults and 2 children comfortably. I can’t say enough about how well things went and what an awesome time we had staying at the Omega Retreat!

Great location….and wheelchair friendly
This home was great for our needs…a chance for extended family to reconnect. The home is very wheelchair friendly - our son had access to a bedroom, bathroom, and all of the upstairs living area. He could manage the front door threshold easily and could access the back deck and backyard firepit with a little help. He was able to fully participate in everything the family did, which was wonderful. The home had everything we needed and had enough kayaks/tubes/towels for the whole family. Phone access was spotty but it helped us all decompress. We had fun!

Wonderful family reunion !
Our family of twelve ...... from Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin ..... enjoyed our week at the Omega Retreat. The house was suited for our 4 families. Lots of room for everyone, kayaks were a plus, and the house was super clean with lots of extras included ! David was a great host and so helpful.

Great River Getaway!
Had a fantastic time staying at the Omega Retreat! Dave was more than helpful with anything we needed and communication was excellent. The house had everything we needed and more! We brought our boat and primarily stayed on the water! 10/10 would stay again!

A Must-Stay
Great spot. The house was clean and well stocked. Took a ride to Buck Creek (not far from the house) and Conley Bottom. The view on the Cumberland river was gorgeous. While the house is not kid proof, we didn’t have any issues with our 2, 4 and 6 year old. (We did bring our own kitchen ware for them). Did not use the fire pit or basement game area but great options to have as well!

Relaxation on the Cumberland
This was my family's first time visiting the Cumberland River. We were looking for a nice quiet place in the woods with outdoor activities and this place delivered beyond our expectations! The home was beautifully done and suited our needs perfectly. Our VRBO host was very welcoming and took care of anything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again! Top notch!

Better than 5 stars!!
Where to begin!!?? Every single thing about this beautiful home was state of the art and top of the line. Not a single corner was cut in furnishings, amenities, and attention to detail. We felt the only thing nicer than the accommodations was the communication, kindness and care shown by the owner. He made sure we knew we could call on him at any hour if something was missing or needed. Too bad this site doesn’t allow MORE than a 5 star rating! You won’t be sorry if you rent this lovely property.

Fantastic family vacation

Great Home for Rest and Relaxation!
The house was beautiful with plenty of space to spend time together or be by yourself. Neat trails on the property can take you to where you can see the water and what looks like old camp sites. Property owners were easy to contact and were very responsive. I would definitely consider coming back!

Golf and Lake trip with friends
This house was perfect for our trip. We had a group playing General Burnside golf course, which was about 25 minutes away. We also hit the lake in the afternoon and the boat ramp right next to the house was awesome. The house was very well stocked, very clean and had plenty of sleeping arrangements for everyone. The communication with the owners was easy and they were always happy to answer questions. Highly recommend this property.

Relaxing
What a wonderful place to celebrate my in-laws 40th anniversary! Enough rooms to fit everyone in our party comfortably, with great entertainment spaces to enjoy each other. Very well stocked! Usually we take have to take quite a bit of cooking supplies and cleaners with us when we rent a home, but not this time. This home came with spices, plenty of cooking utensils, soaps, and even laundry detergent! We really enjoyed playing games at the table downstairs, having camp fires at night, and going down to the boat ramp to swim. We ventured out to Cumberland Falls and Yahoo Falls. Both a must see! Dave was super helpful and accommodating with getting us set up. Thank you Dave for a wonderful place to stay and connect as a family.

House was very comfortable with lots of amenities.
Very nice location and house is very comfortable, spacious and full of amenities! Walking to the Cumberland River from the rental. With kayaks and inner-tubes provided by the very helpful & friendly owner. Great trail rides & hiking at Cumberland Falls. Rented a pontoon for a full day at Burnside Marina, very Friendly staff. Great golf course near by. Very windy roads that takes 31 minutes to go 9 miles!

Wonderful Stay!
Our stay on the Cumberland River was wonderful! The house was absolutely beautiful and had literally everything we could have needed. I read all the previous reviews saying they overpacked but I didn’t believe it until we got there! They have all the small appliances you need as well as chairs for the fire pit and games and even kayaks and bikes! A few of us used those on the last night. It was such a nice added touch. The owner was very easy to communicate with so even if we did need anything we knew he would have made it happen. We brought 3 boats with trailers with us and there was plenty of space to park them at the house. There are not a lot of parking spaces at the community ramp, especially if you launch later in the day, but the house is so close that we easily parked our trailers back at the house and walked back to the ramp. All in all, we loved the area and the river was so beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

So great the first time we had to come back!
This was our second stay at Omega retreat and once again it was perfect. The Millers are great people and extremely accommodating. The property has everything you could possibly want or need and is very comfortable. The boat ramp is less than a quarter mile away and the river is stunning. The property has a fire pit, gas grill, bikes, kayaks and hi speed internet for the folks that don’t like to be outdoors. There are all kinds of little touches as well that they have thought of. Firewood for the pit, life jackets to swim or kayak, k cups and coffee, gas for the grill, all the kitchen items you need. The list goes on. We will continue to return to this property it is one of the most comfortable places I have stayed.

Great place for flat water kayaking or boating
House is set on a very quiet and peaceful location. Boat ramp in walking distance only used by locals. Location is 10 miles or 30 minutes from the busy town of Somerset. Host was helpful and caring.

Great place and awesome weekend!
My wife and I, and three other couples stayed at this great home. We were welcomed by the David who walked us around the property and showed us all the amenities. Very well kept and we had a wonderful stay. We would definitely recommend this property and we will return for another trip.

Great place, great host
From the moment we booked, to check-in, through check-out, David aimed to meet every need of our party of 8 adults…and he and his wife Laura came through every time! The house is exactly as described and the boat launch ramp/dock is even closer than anticipated. Lots of property amenities that 3 short nights weren’t enough to take full advantage of them. We would definitely stay here again if future travel includes Lake Cumberland!

Our group really enjoyed the property. It was very clean, and contained many amenities. David is an awesome host. Very attentive to his guests needs. Surrounding area is beautiful and quiet. Kayaks and firewood provided by David were most appreciated. Property is a bit remote, so make sure that you conduct all your shopping for groceries and supplies in Somerset before venturing to the property.

Perfect getaway
This property was beautiful and the perfect place for adventure and relaxation. We had two families and grandma with us. This included 6 kiddos from 1 1/2 to almost 7. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking, swimming, taking a pontoon boat and just relaxing at the house for campfires. We all agreed we would love to come back again. Fun for all!
We had an amazing time, only regret is not staying longer! It was hard to leave. House was equipped with everything we needed to cook/ grill and relax. David was so helpful and accommodating through our entire stay! He went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great stay, even let us play wiffle ball in his front yard! We brought our 3 boys and 3 of their friends age range 7-15 along with my parents. We fished, swam, rode bikes, loved the golf cart and pontoon we rented while we were there. Beautiful outdoor space for fires and s’mores in the evening and then a nice comfy couch to snuggle up and watch movies before bed. The boys loved the terrace level with lots of games and their own lounging space.

A Quiet River Retreat
This home is exactly how it is listed. The house is well stocked and clean. Dave is very attentive to your needs. Plenty of firewood for your s’mores and hot dogs! Be sure to get your groceries before you head to the house. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the grocery store which is only about 15 miles away. The roads are curvy, but as Dave says “the road gets straighter with trip into town!” You will enjoy your stay in this home!

Best Vacation Spot
As a family we have been vacationing at Lake Cumberland every year for the past 55 years. This is by far THE BEST place we have ever stayed! The property was in a wonderful location with quick and easy access to the water nearby. There was plenty of space to park the 3 cars and two boats we had in tow. The home was completely furnished with anything and everything we needed. The owners put so much time and effort in to the remodeling and decoration of the home. As a family for the first time we felt like we were really in a home away from home. Every room was clean and so comfortable. It has a great space to have meals and spend time together. The owner David is the nicest person. He was there to greet us when we arrived, late unfortunately due to a standstill traffic jam. He is so easy to communicate with and really cares about the people renting from him. He gave us a tour of the home, highlighting all of the need to know items and answered any questions we had. He was so accommodating and checked in with us to make sure we had everything that we needed. Our entire family agrees that we are so lucky to have found this home and host. We have found our favorite vacation spot and can’t wait to plan our next trip to this wonderful place! Cheers to coming here for the next 55 years!
