“A beautifully designed guesthouse in a safe area of town; good pool and breakfast (although quite expensive); rooms were comfortable, but we always seemed to have at least one mosquito. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.”

“We where so warmly welcomed and felt at home right away. Our initial plan was to stay only a few days since we had other plans traveling around but we had to come back and stay at Papaya every time we returned to Maputo. Now we don’t even have to look for anything else. This hotel is a given for any future visits. “Very quiet, clean comfortable room with good air conditioning, good shower and comfy bed. Fridge and kettle provided, Wi-Fi worked very well. Central location if you need to be and only a 15 minute taxi ride from airport. No surprises or disappointments, breakfast was a bit basic but I don’t eat a huge breakfast anyway. ”

“Great very clean hotel with comfortable beds in a central location. Very friendly staff who helped me a lot when I had an issue with my flight getting cancelled and finding an alternate transport for me. Definitely recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Maputo. ”
