"The home interior was well cared for and updated. There wasn’t any curb appeal as far as landscaping or updating for the yard. The interior was comfortable and home-like with lots of kitchen items supplied. That was nice!"

"The landscape is beautiful. There’s much to explore. It is a convenient location. The fire pit was a highlight. Toasting marshmallows and grilling. The house is tastefully decorated. The water pressure in sinks and showers is very very slow. The layout is a bit of a maze. There’s a center staircase that splits. Half of the sleepy areas on two side. The description of 10 bedrooms is deceptive. Each of the bedrooms has a lounge area. These areas are spacious and have sofas that fold out; not bedrooms. Good for kids. You need to walk through these area to reach the staircase lending itself to little privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids and grandkids had a three night slumber party. It was very nice. There are finishing touches, like towel bars and bedroom outlets that I assume will happen soon. It seems like the renovation and upgrades to the property are in the process. "

"Outstanding chalet, perfect for a visit to nearby summer camps. Bedrooms are clean, modern, welcoming, kitchen had everything needed for cooking, and check in was smooth and efficient. Thanks for a great stay!"

"My friends and I used this house for a big group getaway and it perfectly served our needs. There were a few small surprises, like the payment portal not working and the train car not actually being at the house. Still, the host helped us as much as possible. Highly recommend!"

"Our recent stay at The Houzz was deeply disappointing and fell far short of the “Luxurious Vacation Home” the property advertises. While the home is marketed as a high-end rental with premium amenities, the reality was quite the opposite.The main reason we chose this rental was the advertised indoor heated pool and hot tub. Upon arrival, we did not have access to the pool until much later in the evening. It was not until several phone calls and messages that after 9:30 PM finally reached the pool area, only to discover that the pool was NOT heated, and the hot tub was NOT functioning at all. This was not only frustrating but misleading, as these amenities were central to the property’s appeal. When we again attempted to contact the property management or house services team for support, no one responded. The lack of communication and responsiveness only added to our disappointment. As of this writing NO contact made by the property owner (We started asking for help on night one). In addition to the issues with the pool and hot tub, the overall condition of the home reflected poor craftsmanship and a lack of maintenance. There were broken steps, non-functional lights, loose fixtures, and an overall lack of attention to detail throughout the property. It did not feel like a well-cared-for or thoughtfully maintained home.Based on our experience, I cannot recommend The Houzz to future guests. The listing is misleading, the amenities did not function as promised, "
