Om boendet

Dog-friendly home with mountain view, foosball, enclosed yard & W/D

  • Tucked into a quiet area of Lower Alpine and just steps from the Rio Grande River, you'll find this cozy, family-friendly home offering spectacular mountain views and all the serenity you seek for your next Southwest Colorado vacation. Your convenient location gives you access to the vast Rio Grande National Forest, which boasts 1.8 million acres and includes hundreds of trails. Great to explore no matter the time of year, take a trek via ATVs, snowmobiles, horseback, or even strolls. Head out directly from the house and have the adventure of a lifetime. Summitville Ghost Town and nearby mines also present possible fun endeavors.

Sports enthusiasts should bring their clubs, as the Rio Grande Club & Resort features a championship 18-hole course. Try pickleball at the local community center or river rafting with an outfitter for other active options. If you're looking for something more mellow, the Rio Grande river is begging you to cast a line there, and you may walk away with a trophy trout. Take in the stunning views of the Rockies from the Beaver Mountain Trailhead. If that's not enough, head to Revolution Rail for a unique and thrilling mountain biking experience, or explore Million Reservoir for a day of boating and swimming. For the colder months, the Wolf Creek Ski Area, about 22 miles away, offers premium skiing, or you could go to Rickels Arena for free ice skating.

After hiking nearby trails, play a friendly game of foosball, snuggle up in front of the fireplace for movie nights with your loved ones, or use the free high-speed WiFi to catch up with emails while you've been away from it all. The in-home washer/dryer makes quick work of the day's clothes, and the grill on the back deck makes quick work of dinner prep. Take in the stunning sunset over the mountains and end the day as you began, back outside - but this time, toasting your good luck at booking such a sweet escape. Spend quiet mornings sipping coffee on your back deck while you watch for wildlife or frolic in the enclosed yard. Inside, you'll find an open floor plan, high ceilings, and lots of space designed to relax with loved ones. Step into the full, well-equipped kitchen to whip up mealtime masterpieces, then sit down for a family meal at the adjacent dining table.

Annual atv trip

We chosen this home for its location close to the trails and the ability to ride right from the house to the Rio Grande National Forest. The house is very clean, comfortable, fast internet and all the amenities to make this a great vacation. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect base camp

Awesome place to stay! Spacious, king sized bed AND window AC units in each bedroom!! House has everything you need! The only improvement needed is the deck is a bit sketchy and our dog stepped on a rotting out slat and cut his leg. We would go back though!!

Great Property for a Family Getaway

The property was nicely furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable, family ski weekend. It’s easy to find and we enjoyed seeing deer in the yard each day of our stay. There’s plenty of room for everyone and also plenty of room for parking. It could have been cleaner upon our arrival, but we also understand that this is a remote location and there is probably not a lot of day labor available. That said, I feel like dust on the TV table in the main room is low hanging fruit from a cleaning perspective that should have been addressed. All things considered, we’d definitely stay again!

Basic dog-friendly house

Dated but adequate house close to South Fork, Del Norte and Creede. The listing specified A/C but there was none. Pretty warm the first night but by the time we woke up the next morning it was quite chilly outside. The front deck needs replacing- very uneven boards with nails popping up, etc. the email instructions for unlocking the door were incorrect. The 10-digit door code was frustrating; I personally prefer the ones that are the last 4 digits of my cell phone. But it was very quiet and had all the kitchen supplies and coffee necessary.
