Welcome to Mail Legacy Cottage, a dog-friendly getaway on South Haven’s beloved North Shore Drive—an area filled with generations of summer memories and easy access to some of the city’s most loved shoreline spots.



Newcome Beach Access is within walking distance making it easy to spend your days in the sand, sun, and Lake Michigan waves. You’re also just a short walk from downtown favorites including the Michigan Maritime Museum, Captain Lou’s, and the Black River drawbridge.



North Siders know the neighborhood perks: grab snacks at North Side Memories, coffee and treats from Bunde’s Bakery, or gear up for lake adventures at Outpost Sports.



Inside, the cottage offers a bright open-concept living, dining, and kitchen space designed for gathering after a day out. The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed for quick breakfasts, beach snacks, or family dinners, with a large center island that keeps everyone connected.



Out back, enjoy one of the home’s standout features—a spacious yard with room to play, plus a patio for outdoor dining and evenings around the firepit. Beach chairs, yard games, and other fun extras are provided for guest use.

The North Side neighborhood is renowned for its pristine public beaches, distinctive vacation residences, historic bed and breakfast establishments, and the iconic North Beach concession stand. Opportunities to enjoy the delicious local eats abound in this charming beach-side neighborhood.



Relaxation and fun are easy to find here! Bask in the sun on the sandy shores of the North Shore Drive beaches, enjoy a leisurely walk in Stanley Johnston Park, or take in the local history and stunning views at the Michigan Maritime Museum and bustling marina!

Your Shores Vacation Rentals team are local area experts who know all of the ins and outs of our beautiful homes in South Haven.



We're available in-person Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to assist guests in planning their South Haven vacation and providing insider tips for an authentic local experience.



For our incoming guests:



Prior to your arrival you will receive all pertinent check-in information communicated via email and mobile SMS messaging, as well as a local destination guide with our personal recommendations on local eats and activities in the area.



We provide an after-hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text for non-emergency issues.
