“I stayed at the Ameristar East Chicago for 21 nights over 11 stays in fall 2025, travelling for business. It doesn't have everything (breakfast) and is in an odd location. But it was half or less than hotels in Hyde Park, had free parking, big rooms, was always clean and quiet, and the front desk staff was awesome. Shout out to Danica, who was not only a joy but who directed me to the rooms with the best wifi.”

“The breakfast was repetitive. The oatmeal was fresh the first day but after that water was added and the oatmeal was heated and served. However, by the thirid or fourth day it was so dry I didn't want to eat it. I mention to the employee on staff that it was glad to have fresh oatmeal because the day before was awful. The parking was well lit that pavement was kept dry or free of ice.

“We booked this hotel for one night based only on previous positive reviews on Hotels.com. We found out that all good that was said by others was true.
We used the hotel's busines centre computer to order tickets for an event in Chicago, but it turned out that we could only pring e-mails, not PDF files. Panic! Did we just waste over 400 USD? The lovely ladys Tammy and Paula did everything they could to help us with our problem, and after a while they succeeded in printing our tickets. Service...
