The Space:

Your Lake Tahoe escape is truly elevated with a wonderful stay at the Ripke Retreat, a cozy condo located just steps from the water. Perfect for any season, this condo is located within walking distance of the Lakeland Lodge, Heavenly Ski Shop, and many of the area’s most popular attractions. The fully remodeled interior boasts a full kitchen, two smart TVs, and a full-size sofabed in the living area.







Relax in front of the wood-burning stove or enjoy a cup of hot cocoa on the spacious balcony. Added perks include free WiFi, partial air-conditioning, a storage closet (perfect for ski gear), cable and streaming capabilities, and on-site parking. Take advantage of incredible shared amenities, including pools, a lake-view hot tub, barbecue areas with grills, a sauna, beach access, laundry facilities, and a marina.







Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m to 9 a.m. hours. In addition no open flames, no smoking, and parking permits apply. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations.

Nice amenities, comfortable bed, beach close, solid wifi, cable, and a large screen TV. Only ding would be balcony with no view and weak plastic furniture. All said I would recommend.

Relaxing Stay in Lake Tahoe

Accommodations were great. Condo is well stocked with necessities and location is in walking distance to every thing. Private beach is a two minute walk and pool is right outside the lobby door. We had a wonderful time.

Lots of pros... with cons

Pros: Fantastic location, just steps to the private beach. That is amazing. It was the best part of our stay here. Firepits available for public use. The unit itself is very cute and conveniently located to all the amenities (front desk, spa, pool, gym). You can also walk to the grocery store, drug store, and a bunch of restaurants. Cons: Check in is one hour later than traditional (4pm instead of 3pm). Check out is one hour earlier than traditional (10am instead of 11am). The sleeper sofa had crumbs when we removed the cushions, and the bed itself was uneven and uncomfortable. NOISE. We could literally hear every footstep, sound, and wild "activity" that took place on the floor above us. At one point, it sounded like they took a dozen marbles and threw them on the floor and let them roll all around. And the middle of the night activities didn't stop until we couldn't take anymore and politely tapped the ceiling. I don't doubt that others had an amazing experience during their stay but unfortunately for us, we did not. Had we not paid so much for a midweek stay, I think we would have tolerated more but it seemed pricy for the value.

Great stay!

Place was exactly as advertised. Nicely decorated with modern updates. You can walk to the water in just a few minutes, and they have a pier and an area to relax with gas fire pits. Location was good too. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location

This place was an excellent location to heavenly Village, casinos, and great restaurants. It was perfect for my husband and I. It has a little kitchen for cooking, although the only condiments available was salt and pepper. So if you wanted to cook a big meal, you would need to bring/buy all your ingredients/condiments. We lost power due to a storm for about 18 hours, and when our power came back, we couldn’t figure out how to work the TVs. There are two remotes for each TV, but no directions on how to use them. communication and check in process was excellent. The rental is in the lobby but once you close the doors, you can’t even tell you are directly across from the front desk. Super clean and excellent shampoo/conditioner/soap options. Plenty of towels. Would 100% stay again.

Beautiful stay!

My fiancé and I stayed here for a couple nights and really enjoyed the spacious and clean unit. Everything you needed was available! The kitchen and bathroom was stocked with cleansing items, towels, extra blankets, etc. It was very quiet and peaceful and we would love to stay there again!

Ideal for what we needed

Cozy apartment, exactly as advertised, located just a few minutes from Heavenly, ideal for two of us in town to ski. The unit entrance is located in the lodge/hotel lobby, which I didn't realize when we booked but posed no problem whatsoever. Would recommend!

Comfortable Stay

Check-in was as easy as using the code on the door! Under-building parking provided easy access to the elevator. The unit was comfortable and we loved the walk-in shower. Took a bit to get used to the stove-fireplace turning off until it cooled down enough to start up again. The kitchen was small but easy to use; good appliances. Our stay was for 8 days so we preferred to cook most of our meals in the unit during the stay. Could have used a bit more and better cooking utensils and the unit had no pot holders; had to purchase some. Would definitely stay again while in the area.

Good location

Place was very clean. Oddly located in the lobby but once inside we didn't notice a thing. So this was quickly a non-issue. Good location if you want to be on the main drag. Walkable to the grocery store and some restaurants. Also a 5 minute walk to the beach. Through the parking lot and past a couple rows of condos and you are there! The 3 of us stayed here (husband and I and our 3 yo). We had to sleep on the sofa bed one night which was not comfortable but that is to be expected. The place is a little dark because it's older. But the kitchen had the basics we needed including a dishwasher which is helpful with a little one. I think for what it is, it was comfortable and did the job. As a side note, if it's possible for there to be a shorter door code that would be great! That long code was challenging when trying to get in the door with stuff and a toddler.

Overall I liked the unit and I would stay there again. It was within walking distance of a pier area with shops, restaurants, boat rentals etc. The unit was right off the lobby, so super convenient, including close to elevators to access parking garage. Despite being off lobby, I didn't notice much noise. Cute decor and clean sheets and towels. Cleanliness of the unit overall was decent, but could use improvement. Some surfaces were very dusty. (There had been some recent construction, so that could have been the reason.) Kitchen was clean, but a few dirty dishes had been put away in the cupboard (perhaps previous renter).

Honeymoon

We enjoyed our stay as a short honeymoon after our ceremony at Emerald Bay State Park. The unit’s front door is in the lobby by the front desk, so it can be noisy at times. Could hear the people next door talking. Kitchen was well stocked, except for salt and pepper to cook with. Convenient location in South Lake Tahoe. Closet lighting would have helped be able to see in my suitcase, there is no overhead lighting in the bedroom or living room, just lamps.
