We have just returned from a blissful six nights at Bellmora and are already planning a return. After driving the 800 metre laneway through forest we were blown away by the beauty of the white fence, the massive open lawns and beautiful cottage by the sea — it's like a postcard for PEI.
Absolutely stunning property, great beach, beautifully well-kept lawns, and all the amenities for every type of outdoor play advertised by Angela and Stephen.
Inside the place is just fantastic, with it's beautiful high ceilings, comfy furniture, and gourmet type kitchen (including stainless steel new appliances) with everything any decent cook will need to prep and serve great seaside meals.
It was a really nice treat to arrive late afternoon to the fire turned on, classical music playing and a lovely bottle of wine and other snack treats waiting for us — a very thoughtful treat, thank you!
Three bedrooms fully outfitted with great linens, comfy blankets all over the house, great towels for the humans and others for the pups. Upstairs loft master with ensuite fills that level and is really lovely as are the two bedrooms on main level with large washroom. Nice soap and lotion kits provided to get you started.
For those travelling with pups like us — two large, non-shedding, non-drooling, hypo-allergeneic Black Russian Terriers — the place is totally welcoming, starting with the basket of doggie towels on the screened-in porch. The pups had huge fun charging around the property and up and down the beach. So much open space and fresh sea air for all us.
We enjoyed many local resources including shopping at Coopers up the highway as well as in Montague and Charlottetown. PEI is changing: Montague has an Atlantic Superstore, liquor store, and yes, cannabis store, all in the same location lol. We loved the Point Prim Chowder House and it's superb food but alas I believe it closes for the season on Sept. 30.
Angela and Stephen are wonderful hosts and although they are off site I got answers to every question in what seemed like only minutes. We had a really top-notch experience from first inquiry to our return home yesterday, and I can't wait to get back there for a longer stay. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended, as long as you don't tell too many people, just so there will be room for us again lol. Thanks to you Angela and Stephen, and of course to your housekeeper, Eileen, who seems to keep the place in top-notch shape!
