Hotell nära South Walney Nature Reserve

“There is plenty of parking space, and it's easy to find the Lodge. All the expected room facilities are present: good decor, bed, towels and bathroom;, a warm and comfortable space. I couldn't dock a star, especially at the price we paid. Of course, there are things that could be improved! The kettle boiled just enough for the two very small mugs; our (own) teapot took 2 boilings to fill. It would be nice to have more than the bare minimum of cutlery so as not to have to wash forks after...

“Hi, I had a spacious room, fab complimentary supplies, nice style of bathroom, plenty of space to put my belongings if I'd had more with me, there would have been plenty of room. Absolutely wonderful staff, went above and beyond and lovely to have the chance to pop downstairs and feel welcomed and safe moreover. I'll be coming back as soon as possible. Thank you ”

“Very pleasant hotel with nice staff and all facilities you could expect. The room was perfect, except impossibility to open window for a little fresh air inside the room (air conditioning available though). Parking is big enough to park your car safely next to the hotel. City center and docks are easy to reach by walk (we recommend the docks museum, very interesting and free admission). Huge Tesco and other food corners around the hotel. ”

“Had a clean, well equipped and comfortable ground floor room in this welcoming hotel. Staff were so nice and food was excellent. Will certainly look forward to visiting again when in the area. Parking was great in lovely surroundings.”

“The accommodation was very spacious and had everything we needed, eg tea, coffee and milk provided. Bathroom was well equipped with a lovely big shower. The master room was massive and decorated nicely. Overall a great place to stay and in a perfect location as you’re in walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and also easy to travel elsewhere via car.”

“Our room (number 4) was bright and airy, dual aspect and extremely spacious. Beautifully decorated with quality art deco style accessories. A huge comfortable bed and immaculate shower room en-suite. An unexpected surprise was a small fridge containing bottled water, juice, porridge pots and cereal bars - all of which were replaced each day.Our only disappointment was that the Bath Tap and Chowder Co. was closed for the duration of our stay.”

“Very eastern Eurpeen feel to flatt 1 witch ware i stayed for 3 nights. I did notice flat one needs work bit never complained anx for reson is because it convient and someware pit head down and it funtional witch all was bothered abt, i cooked allot and cleaned around at back of myself. Keept it tidy but left cottage pie in fridge in flatt 1. I leave that for anyone who want it in flatt 1, use by day 23rd aug 2025. Only thing was that could not lock bathroom door but ok for myself but bringing...
