“Vi besökte Kyoto under tre dagar för att se historiska tempel och slott. Det passade väldigt bra att bo på detta traditionella hotell. I byn Uji fanns två tempel som är med på Unescos värlsarvlista. Vi åkte JR s lokal tåg från Kyoto till Uji och på vägen ligger även Inari som vi besökte.”

“They were really nice and helpful at the hotel. Only problem that the movie services were a little faulty and didn't always work. Also most of the movies were dubbed in japanese which was a shame. BUT It was an awesome hotel and we will probably go back when we come back to Kyoto! The service was amazing and the price was awesome considering everything you got with it.”

“Small rooms but rather common thing in Japan. Can't set temperature on AC only strength. So even with 24 Degree Celsius it still heated the room. Front desk knew very little English but really tried their best to help.”

“We were very disappointed to be informed by the hotel that all indoor and outdoor onsen were completely closed. We were not informed at all upon the booking or else, before our check in date. If we knew the onsen were closed, we could have look for an alternative. When we asked for an explanation from the reception staff about the closing of onsen, his explanation came to be shockingly offensive, he said because we had booked for “a cheap price ’”

“Fushimi Ohana is a traditional Japanese house that is located in a quiet neighborhood. We LOVE the design of it. Staying there is like leading a local Japanese's life, which is quite nice. The people in the neighborhood seem quite nice. The facilities are good and the place is clean. The self check-in provided us with good flexibility and was clearly instructed. It could be a little cold in winter though as the heaters are not quite enough for the big house. But it is an interesting...

“Not the greatest place to stay at in Kyoto. - The closest rail station (Fushimi) is about a 15-20 minute walk. - The hotel room is dirty. We got non-smoking and they delivered on that (no smell). But the carpet in our room had clear dirty spots and so did the ceiling. - Standard washroom amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc - Can't refuse room service it seems -Size of the room was good”
