âThe hotel is very close to the Kyoto Station with its multitude of restaurants and good communications. If you arrive by train, it can't get any better. A few large malls/department stores nearby. At the same time, it's a bit away from the worst tourist crowds. We could walk to the temples of southern Higashiyama and to Gion. But the subway was handy at times. We didn't use the hotel's service very much, but the room was very satisfactory. It had a big bathroom with a few special things, such as...
