“Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding...

Insisted on charging a £50 "deposit" at check-in that wasn't mentioned at the time of booking, then after reluctantly paying by card and SEEING THE GREEN TICK AND APPROVAL CONFIRMATION on the terminal screen, the receptionist claimed it hadn't been successful, and I'd need to pay it again (which I refused to do). In the one small lift, the button for the Ground Floor was taped over with the message "Not Workig" (sic) meaning the only way to get back to the ground...

“Exactly what you would expect given the price. Rooms are tired and not the cleanest. Carpets and decoration look tired and the room smelt smoky but it was perfect for a bed to sleep in for a very affordable price. Bear in mind that photo ID is needed at check-in and car parking spaces fill up early.”

“The rating was given for two star hotel. This is a motel style, very, very simple. Service was good, the room was relatively clean. We stayed only one night, so we just needed a place where we could sleep. It was a good place to stay for the money paid. ”

“Very clean, lovely property. Loved the cast iron bath in the bathroom. Good full english breakfast, Pablo was very accommodating. I would stay again.”

“Check in was really slow, I wasn't told about the building or where my room is. I was given the wrong key card, so I had to wait another half an hour for the error to be corrected. I wasn't given access to the facilities/leasure areas as the property description advertised. There was no guide of how to use the key card or an fire escape map in my room. Over all I am disapionted. ”

“What a joke! The hotel cancelled on me right before we were due to stay because of an apparent leak. I think managed to book a different hotel at twice the price as it was so last minute. Hucknall house has now blocked my phone number and I still am waiting for a refund. ”
