Charming West Lake Okoboji Cabin

Adorable cottage in the quaint village of Monarch Cove on West Lake Okoboji. A playground for both children and adults alike, the private community of Monarch cove has a large playground, swim dock, and seven private fishing docks for guest use. The cottage is located directly across the road from West Lake, and is within walking distance of Pike's Point Public Beach.

The property is 1100 sq ft, has two queen bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on the main floor, a large dormer bedroom with 2 twin beds upstairs, a small kitchen and multiple living areas. The large front deck is worth the price of admission itself. It’s FABULOUS!

The cottage has laundry, Wi-Fi, local & movie television channels.

Come kick back and enjoy lake living at its finest.

Owner's were prompt in answering questions and made you feel right at home. It was a family friendly setting close to the park for kids. The kitchen is small but was perfect what we needed it for. We will definitely rent again next year!

Cutest little cabin!

We loved our stay at Jessica’s cabin. It had everything we needed and was the perfect size for us 4 adults and 1 child. They even had toys for our 1 year old! The place is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of a park and Monarch Cove. We would definitely stay again.

Our 1st trip to Lake Okoboji

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. We had plenty of room for our family of 5. The host communicted with us throughout our stay. On our last night, there was a power outage from a storm. She let us know when the power would be back on from the power company. She was very helpful any time we had a question or concern.

Cute cabin in cozy neighborhood

This was a perfect spot for a stay at the lake for family time. The cabin is located in a cute, friendly cove neighborhood with several docks nearby that we could access. We could walk to Pike's Point to enjoy the beach or put our kayaks in the water. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to cook. The inside of the cabin was cute and very comfortable, and the deck and fire pit were also amazing spaces we enjoyed. Jess was super easy to communicate with, and she did everything to make sure our stay was pleasant. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who would like to stay in the Okoboji area. We loved this property from the moment we walked up to the front door. It is truly a charming cabin that made for a very comfortable stay. There is a lot of comfortable seating areas including the large deck. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. The owner Jess texted me often throughout our stay to see if there was anything she could do for us. Thank-you Jess for helping to make this a very memorable time with our family.

Okoboji charm

My friend and 2 of her children (ages 11 and 13) met me and my 2 children (ages 8 and 10) at Jessica’s cabin in the Monarch Cove community at the north end of West Lake. While the cabin didn’t have direct lake access, it was only steps away. Fishing docks, a swimming dock and a playground were all less than a 2 min walk. I grew up going to my family’s cabin in Okoboji every summer. I hadn’t been back in years. What I loved about Jessica’s home is that it had that nostalgic feeling of the older cabins that used to surround the lake. Instead of a sterile rental, it was like we were borrowing a friends cabin. Cozy spots to sit (couches in both living rooms were so comfy!), lovely outdoor deck shaded by mature trees, fire pit (we didn’t use), comfortable beds, an upstairs area perfect for kids to play/sleep, some quirky decor and a few creaky floorboards (under new flooring) made the place feel like the quintessential lake cabin. Well-stocked kitchen, although a little disorganized, seemed to contain just about anything you might need from spices to cookware. Some of the glasses needed another rinse but everything was was there - a little mismatched and perfect. I would love to stay there again on out next trip back. Thank you!!

Our family had an amazing stay. The neighborhood was quiet, the deck was amazing, the boys were able to go fishing while I picked out a great reading spot. It was everything we imagined and more and our host was great to work with. We’ll definitely be back!

Okoboji charm

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The home was very clean and tidy when I arrived and I had excellent communication with the owner. Great deck where are you can see West Okoboji Lake. There is a nice little beach just a short walk and areas for swimming. Would highly recommend this listing.

Accurately described cottage -- reliable host

Clean, older property, nooks and cranny's. comfortable couches, nice sun porch and deck overlooking the street. Quite neighborhood near the water and all the action in Okoboji. Very responsive hosts.

Lovely cabin in adorable Monarch Cove

My family and I loved our stay in this cabin in Monarch Cove at the north end of West Okoboji. Adorable place to stay and the community is just too cute. The area is great for walks and there are 7 docks to fish or swim off. You can reach both Spirit Lake area and Arnold’s Park area within minutes. It was great with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and a small kitchen for the times you want to stay close to the lake and cook. Many necessities are provided and a few personal touches and treats make it seem like home. Owner is super friendly and easy to reach if you have questions.

Cute, comfortable Boji rental

Our family of 6 was comfortable in this home. It was clean and nicely decorated. We visited in the winter and I'm sure it would be even better in the warm months when use of the deck and outdoor furniture would be possible. Jessica was a good communicator and made sure we had what we needed for our stay.
