80th Birthday Celebration
My son spent the first two hours we were there weed whacking the back grassy area. No ladder to get in and out of water from dock. House itself was great and loved the quiet area it was in. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Annual trip
House was cute, good location, great to be able to use the garage. A few items need attention: Screen door was not on sliding glass door. My husband found it in the garage and installed it. But it needs a new threshold. And housekeeping might vacuum out tracks. Flooring strip In dining room missing; it was propped up against the wall. Needs to be glued back down. The yard is in terrible shape. Hasn’t been mowed or weed eated in weeks. Shrubs, trees need to be trimmed. There was a problem with gnats and flies. Might consider pest control. Suggest lamps be added to living room and upstairs bedrooms. We moved the lamps from the master bedroom to the living room for reading.

Nice House Could Use Some TLC
The location and property were very nice. Having access to a private dock was great. The overall cleanliness and yard were in need of some extra care. The house could def use a deep cleaning and the yard needs some work. Communication and working with host was extremely easy and quick. Would recommend this listing to anyone traveling with family or friends.

The property was advertised. We made our reservation in May of 2022 for our son's wedding on September 10th of 2022. We were required to pay a three thousand dollar deposit for a three night rental! The owner held the deposit deposit for almost 3 months! I emailed the owner to ask why it was so high but never got a response. That seems very high to me and I wouldn't do it again. It took another two weeks after the conclusion of our rental to get our deposit back.

Labor Day
We had a very nice vacation at this property. There is plenty of places to go within walking distance and it isn't too far from shopping, gas, etc. For being in Okoboji, this property is located in a slightly more private, less wild, setting. It was perfect for the kids to fish and boat safely and had plenty of room for our group of 7 and a dog. We would definitely stay again.

Cleanliness of place was questionable
The outside of the location needs to be tended to, weed pulling and pressure washing would do wonders. The kitchen inventory is very limited and needs more seating space for conversation. The garage was full of garbage from past renters and smelled!

Private dock and backyard
It was ok. The house was clean, but ants were invading the kitchen. The outside was not kept well. A bunch of old fencing along side the house had old leaves by it which housed a wasp nest. Owner was contacted and exterminator came. There's poison ivy in the yard too. The stovetop is induction and doesn't recognize anything but copper pans. Not enough of those. Kitchen lacked basics like measuring cups, mixing bowls, knives etc.. I would hope the owner pays more attention to details in the future. I would stay again though. It's a great place.

View was great! Yard was full of garbage! Grill did not work! House itself was not very clean!
Expected cleanliness for the cost of the rental! Don’t understand why it is not better cared for! Owner didn’t respond when I reached out about the grill!

Convenient location with boat lift and dock
Clean house and nice size for our family of 4 adults and 2 small dogs. Yard and dock worked well but, could use some repairs on the dock and stairs and general cleanup in the yard. One garage door would not open. Quiet neighborhood with the exception of one neighbor to the south that lit firecrackers every night but one and it may not bother most but, we have a dog that has anxiety from loud noises. Was overall a great experience and would stay again.

Perfect for a family stay
This house was perfect for our family getaway to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday. April in Iowa isn’t really lake weather, but we had a great time just being together in the beautiful setting. The house had plenty of room for our family of nine plus three small dogs. It was well-equipped with everything we needed.

Clean, comfortable house in convenient location. Lovely lake view is somewhat diminished in the off season by the dock and decking in the backyard Stocked with all that we needed except a bedside lamp- Walmart sold us one for the nighttime non-ebook reader.

Good size house on the water
The house itself was nice and located right on the water. Maintenance and the yard could use some attention. The dock was broken when we were there so we couldn't use it but the owner made that right. We went after season which was nice to avoid the crowded okoboji area in the summer.

Lake vacation fun!
This property was absolutely perfect for our family. We were able to enjoy both the indoor area with a large open concept and the outdoor area with the perfect lake view and the fire pit area where we hung out for morning coffee and evening drinks and conversation! Great House and very private location
We loved our stay at the house. There was everything you needed there to make your stay quite comfortable. A beautiful view and a fenced back yard. The seaweed in this portion of the lake is very thick. I wouldn't recommend swimming off the dock or in this portion of the lake in August. We really enjoyed our stay and thought the house and the community was perfect. Till next time!

Nice family get away
Very nice place. Loved the private dock and fenced in back yard. A little confused on the pet policy. The website says pets welcome but there was a sign on the counter that said no pets allowed. No phone or local tv in case of bad weather but good cell service. Lots of seaweed around the dock so couldn’t swim but not sure what property owners could do to fix that.

Great family getaway
Great family getaway, We traveled with two families of four . House was very clean, that’s real comfortable everything we needed in the kitchen, Great talk to sit out on and have coffee. The boys caught quite a few fish off of the dock. We really enjoyed being on the peaceful end of Okoboji able to get away from all the noise but close enough to go enjoy West Okoboji. There is a wonderful walking/biking path right across the street from the house Bailey was very responsive and help take care of all of our needs. We plan to return and would recommend this property

Wonderful time at the lake
We had a mini family reunion with all ages of kids. The bedrooms were perfect for us. Wonderful view and dock. Cooking area and patio was lovely. Lots of flies in the whole area so having a stringer screen door would be better.

Fantastic cabin and owner.
Very good experience at this cabin, would go back in a heartbeat. Owner was incredible with communication, cabin itself was nice and updated. Highly recommend staying!

Peaceful Retreat
This house is on a very quiet part of the lake. It was peaceful every second of the day! We enjoyed drinking coffee on the dock or breakfast on the patio. The house was very clean and welcoming. My parents kept commenting on how much they loved the place. The only downfall was the dock was surrounded by seaweed so the kids couldn't enjoy swimming as much as we had hoped. We found beaches to go to and rented boats so we still had lots of fun. I'd give this 4.5 stars if we could. It had pretty much everything we needed.

Fun lakehouse for a family trip!
We had a great time at this lakehouse! We had adults and kids ranging from 2-13, and all had fun! The fenced in backyard was nice, and it was nice being able to go out on the dock and fish. Bedrooms were nice and spacious. We had a few questions during our stay, and Bailey was always quick to respond. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
