Pine Cone Cottage turned out to be the perfect retreat. The cabin was spotless and cozy, ideally located near great spots for hiking and shopping. The hosts were incredibly responsive and checked in to ensure we were enjoying our stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it!”

“This is my favorite place to stay in the Rice Lake area. It is a charming lodge tucked away in a quiet spot right on the lake. Expect beautiful vistas year round. Each room is designed uniquely, several are pet friendly. Each has a view of and access to the lake. The staff/owners are friendly and accommodating. There are complementary non-motorized water activities in the summer and nightly campfires. Breakfast is fruit and a locally baked scone. There is nothing hotel-chain about this place. ”

“Staff was great. Clean room. Apparently it was a hockey weekend and kids were running up and down the stairs, hallways up above the rooms in a very difficult to relax. That was my agenda with my daughter was to relax. My daughter is autistic and I was way too stimulating for her. No, I didn’t stipulate that she was autistic. Didn’t know I had to and I shouldn’t have to but that to no one quiet times are 30 below zero kids are in the pool running out the door, half naked and in and out. ”
