The Vintage is the perfect home base for a golf trip
Christian was responsive and incredibly easy to deal with. Location between Old Course and restaurants and pubs couldn't be better. VRBO itself was perfect for us - we were a group of 6 men travelling for golf, and this house worked great. Sitting area with large table under the glass provided huge amount of room for playing cards and eating. More space than the pictures would indicate. St. Andrew's is a special place for golfer's, and a great town for anyone to visit. Our recommendations: Best Courses are Old Course, Kingsbarn's and Castle. Little Italy for dinner and Bibi's Cafe for Breakfast a couple favourites for food. And of course need to grab a pint at The Dunvegan. Best shops for merchandise were The Old Course Shop across from the 18th green of the Old Course and The Pro Shop in the Old Course Hotel. Great VRBO - amazing experience! Thanks again, Christian.

Thanksgiving Stay

Auch beim zweiten Mal einfach Top
Sehr schönes Cottage, ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht und in Toplage. Liebevoll ausgestattet und gemütlich, für ruhige Abende nach der Golfrunde. Aber alle Restaurants und Pubs auch fussläufig erreichbar. Wir sind gerne wieder gekommen und werden auch gerne noch einmal wieder kommen. So macht Urlaub Spaß. Vielen Dank!

Great for golfers & wives
A couple of golf buddies and I stayed at this great little house with our wives. It suited everyone's needs as the girls loved to read books in the sun room and learn about St. Andrews will we took in a few rounds. Christian was great and quick to respond to any issues faced.

Perfect Location
The home is situated in an ideal location for the Old Course and surrounding shops, bars and restaurants. We were initially concerned about parking, but Christian assured us that we would have no problem securing a park along The Scores, and he was right. Water pressure was top notch and plenty of towels for all guests. A starter set of paper towels would have been a nice touch, but the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs otherwise, even though we went out for lunch and dinner everyday. The only tip I would extend is to be sure and close your windows at night, unless you enjoy a wake-up call at 5am from the local pigeons. We had a great time in St. Andrews, and we would all stay at the Vintage again. Thanks for making your home available!

Golf trip
Location is absolutely perfect. Iy is close to everything a visitor wants to do in St Andrews. There was adequate room, nice amenities and the property is very well kept.

Nice lodgings in great location
This cottage was perfect for our five adults, some playing golf and others just relaxing and exploring. Everything was clean and in good condition and as advertised. We had no need to request assistance during our stay, but our host checked in with us midway through. Located very close to the St Andrews golf courses, shopping and restaurants. We were there in late June and kept very comfortable and sometimes cold, which provides a great night sleep, by opening windows. A very easy and enjoyable stay. We would book again!

Tap in putt for eagle
What a gem of a fine! As tight and beautiful as the Postage Stamp green at Troon but in the heart of Saint Andrews. When I get the next opportunity to return to Saint Andrews The Vintage will be the first property that I look for. The host was gracious and his local contact was the same.

Love the Vintage at St. Andrews
We were 4 golfers playing in and around town. This was my 4th stay here and I’d be hard pressed to stay anywhere else. Great location, well equipped kitchen, room to hang about and an easy walk to restaurants, golf and shopping. Good value for the money as well.

Amazing location
The Vintage truly is a hidden gem. Located down a little alleyway and steps away from the Old Course, pro shops, restaurants and the beach. Ample street parking and easy access to the courses at St Andrews. House is clean and serviceable with kitchen and bath amenities. Christian is a responsive host and was a pleasure to work with. The trip of a lifetime for my husband and sons!

Large 3BR in fantastic location!!
This cottage in the heart of St Andrews is perfect place to explore St Andrews. So close to golf courses. Easily wander out the alley to all the fantastic shops / restaurants. We will be back!!

Wonderful tiny house near Course
Wonderful, clean, updated mini house. We loved our stay. The charming solarium was great. Rosemary bush and fine kitchen was sensational. Loved the privacy of all the rooms. Excellent location.

Unique property, outstanding location
Pluses: Very unique property, outstanding location - centrally located but quiet, easy check-in/out. Minuses: Couches are a bit worn, and the house was chilly during our rainy February visit. That said, we’d choose to stay here again, albeit in warmer weather.

Location. Location. Location.
The Vintage was great. We had four adults in town for the week to golf. The property was very clean and nicely furnished. Christian was responsive and great to deal with. The best part about the Vintage was it’s location. A few minutes walk to great bars and restaurants, as well as the Old Course starter. We were able to meet shuttles and taxis at the R&A car park as well, which made getting around very simple. Would highly recommend for any golfers visiting St. Andrews!

Four day stay in St Andrews for a family wedding. Could not have asked for better accommodation, it was central for all amenities and had everything we could have wished for. Definitely book again

Our St Andrews home away from home
We stayed a few years before and were excited to return. Our trip in 2021 was canceled because of Covid and Christian was very accommodating as we shifted the dates about. We returned for graduation, and the flat is ideal for golfers. It’s well appointed and the bed set up is flexible. We know where to stay upon our return to St Andrews.

The Vintage- Rare Find
Location was spot on, 5minutes to shops, beach, golf etc Very private secluded gardens, which was fantastic, especially in the sun!!!! Conservatory was ideal for meal times. A few stairs up & down to bedrooms. We loved it, would highly recommend. Communication between owners & myself was very responsive. Book up, you won't regret it.

Lovely holiday once we got in.
The house is beautiful, just as advertised and in a super location. Unfortunately, we were not sent check in details and found it very hard to contact the owner who is not in the UK. I feel VRBO should have a local contact as they couldn't help us and we ended up out of pocket for hotel rooms for the first night and had a stressful and delayed start to our holiday.

The Vintage
Location doesn’t get any better , the men played golf 3 mornings and walked to 2 of the courses . The beach and shops are only a 5 minute walk , so a fantastic location for us ladies too ! Will definitely stay at The Vintage on our next trip to St Andrews , would highly recommend .

Bucket List Trip 2022
Due to Covid we have been unable to attend The Vintages as yet. That said Christian has been more than helpful with moving our booking to 2022 when we all hope borders will be re-opened and we can all get back to doing the things we love, which by the way, includes playing at and around the Home of Golf ... Lovely quiet retreat in St. Andrews
This is the second time I’ve rented this house, and I’ve been very pleased both times. The house is right in the middle of St Andrews, but it is on a quiet lane so it is very tranquil. The house is well-equipped and in wonderful condition. I look forward to staying here again.

Outstanding Property for Golfers
This property is as advertised. Plenty of room for 6 people, although we only had 4 in our group. It's incredibly close to the first tee box of the Old Course. Place was clean and beds were comfortable. The atrium was a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. Kitchen had all of the necessary utensils and appliances. Plenty of towels and rags for the baths and a washing machine. One small note, there was no soap or body wash provided. Living room is quite comfortable. Furniture was beginning to show a little ware. Golf decor was great. I didn't count, but I would venture to guess that there are over 50 golf videos of past Open Championships and other tournaments. Very close to restaurants, pubs, grocery stores and retail shopping (of course, everything is close in St. Andrews). Bus station is about a 10 minute walk carrying clubs. It was a trip of a lifetime for an avid golfer! Chrisitian was fantastic to deal with and always responded quickly to questions and comments. The first time you walk out of the alley and look at the monument, the ocean, the R&A and the first tee box of the Old Course, it will take your breath away.

We were in town for a golf trip and this house was perfect! Amazing location right near the old course and all the restaurants/pubs in St. Andrews. The back patio was perfect for hanging out and the house itself was super comfortable and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Top Unterkunft
Sehr schönes, liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus, in dem nichts fehlte. Es liegt sehr zentral, Pubs, Geschäfte und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar, der Old Course ist nur ein Eisen 7 entfernt.
