Amazing stay

Amazing Property and Staff!
Brown Suggah Villa is a beautiful property! What was even more amazing was the staff! They were all extremely accommodating and friendly. My kids loved them, especially my 1 year old! We loved it so much, we wished we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be visiting again!

Absolutely Amazing
Our group of 5 had an absolutely amazing time at Brown Shuggah. The property managers, Anna and Daniel, were kind and responsive, and the staff- Sean, Sophia, Chef Wong, Pepe, and Bryan -were the best! So sweet, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and a joy to be around. Our driver, Michael, who we organized through the property, was also great, as he made sure we got to and from the house safely and was always on time. On to the house... it's stunning. The views are beautiful, the accommodations are luxurious and comfortable, and the swimming cove, while without a beach, is still awesome. 5 stars all around- I can't wait to get back!

Family Trippin' Jamaica 2023
The decision to NOT stay at the resort & book "Brown Shuggah" Villa was THE ABSOLUTE BEST decision ever!!! From the moment we arrived until the very moment we left, everything & everyone was unbelievably over-the-top, incredibly AMAZING!! The staff was so incredibly kind & accommodating! We didn't arrive until after 10pm, we were met outside by these amazing folks who greeted us with big smiles & peppermint scented towels to freshen up!!! They started taking care of us & everything else right away! The Villa is INCREDIBLE!!! The pictures DON'T come close to what we walked into!! It is BEAUTIFULLY STUNNING w/so much Jamaica character about it! Very CLEAN, very well furnished & organized! The VIEW! OH MY GOD!! The views from the house-BREATHTAKING!!! The Ocean is literally just beyond the fence! The back patio area & the yard space is PERFECT!! We spent the majority of our time out there, until 4 am most times enjoying the sounds of the Ocean & comfort of the patio furnishing, the pool was fantastic! Every single bedroom & bathroom was amazing, especially the MSTR BEDROOM! You have to see it to believe it! To wake up with a direct view & sound of the Ocean was like waking up in paradise each day! We requested traditional Jamaican meals. Chef Wong was top tier! EVERY meal was DELICIOUS!! The house was totally cleaned every day! Shaun totally took care of us-he is AMAZING! I think the Villa was the BEST part of our vacation! Brown Shuggah, we will be back!! TEN STARS!!!

Unbelievable! Even better than advertised
Can’t express enough how great the villa was. Beautifully layed out and appointed. The staff was absolutely wonderful and so attentive. The food was outstanding. We did chef’s choice for the week and it was not to disappoint. So fun going to the private children’s beach, and the cliff jumping. Loved the dogs. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Really a special place!

Exquisite
Brown Shuggah Villa is the ultimate in a vacation home rental. The property is stunning with beautiful vistas of the ocean. The house had all the amenities one could hope for. The staff was truly amazing and make it a truly relaxing, memorable experience. It was convenient to Ocho Rios, but not too close. I've rented several different properties around Florida and the Caribbean through VRBO, and this one truly stands out.

5 star recommendation!
We had an amazing time. The pictures really don't do this property justice. It was larger and more beautiful than we expected. We suggested a video walkthrough tour with the housekeeper would be a great addition to the property profile. The staff were amazing and accommodating from arranging trips, great meals, swimming/cliff jumping/exploring the bat cave, to playing Ludo with the our kids. We made so many great memories and our kids will ALWAYS remember this trip to Jamaica. The host was also very responsive and accommodating with last-minute needs and revisions we had for our trip.

A beautiful villa with a very kind staff
We recently stayed at Brown Shuggah Villa (4 adults and 3 young children, ages 2, 2, and 4). This vacation truly exceeded every expectation we had. The house was very clean, large, and exactly as seen in the photos. Our children specifically liked the pool - my son learned to swim! - and the private beach cove. There are ample pool toys and floats. A short 2 minutes walk away is a very shallow bat cave which us adults loved. To the staff: Sharndee, Pepe, Bryan, Sophia and Chef Wong - thank you for caring not only for us but for our kids. Your attention to detail and kindness to our children was truly above and beyond. We will 100% back. Again, thank you!

My 50th Birthday at Brown Shuggah Villa.
Awesomeness!!! My family and I celebrated my 50th birthday at Brown Shuggah. I enjoyed every minute of my stay, the staff sealed the deal. Each serving of meal was well presented with the most colorful and decorative tablecloths and mats, I found this very impressive. Big up to Shawn the butler who was very attentive to all our needs, Marlon the chef who prepared the most delicious meals in speedy time. Sophia, who kept our rooms and bathrooms clean and refreshed. The gardeners who kept the grounds immaculate by pruning, sweeping and watering every morning. Lola, such a friendly and obedient dog who guided us to the cove at times. Everyone was sad to leave, but our next vacation destination will definitely be Brown Shuggah. Antoinette

Great property and incredibly friendly staff
Our party of four adults and six children recently spent spring break at Brown Shuggah Villa and we could not have had a better experience. The online pictures just don't capture how truly breathtaking the property is and we often found ourselves just staring out at the water. Everything went as planned from transport to check-in to meals. The staff was amazing the entire trip and we will miss our morning mimosas! We can't wait for our next visit!

Amazing Vacation
We had such an amazing time at Brown Shuggah Villa! We had 3 generations together (including young kids) to celebrate a few milestone birthdays and anniversaries and it was absolutely wonderful! The house was beautiful and spacious, the grounds and view spectacular, and the cove was an absolutely perfect play area for our young kids. But above all of this, it was the staff that truly made our stay beyond what we could have anticipated. Marlon the chef made every meal incredibly delicious and we really enjoyed trying local Jamaican dishes. He made a special birthday dessert for my mother in law and having the food taken care of all week was an amazing treat for us. Sean (Sharndee) the butler was so kind and attentive and made us feel so well taken care of. Sophia the housekeeper kept our rooms and space tidy and clean. Foxy and Bryan kept the grounds looking great, and Foxy even took us out to cliff jump, and this was just an added perk of the location of this house. Even Lola the dog was wonderful to have around. We can't say enough good things about this place and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks Brown Shuggah for a fantastic vacation!

Beyond fantastic!
Our experience at Brown Shuggah Villa was beyond fantastic! The home is one of the most unique and beautiful homes we have ever stayed in, incredibly clean and comfortable, and the staff just takes it over the top! Not only is the location idyllic, including the cove and the cliffs out back for jumping, but the staff simply makes this place perfect. Chef Marlon, Butler Shawn, housekeeper Sophia, groundskeepers Foxy and Brian were some of the most wonderful people, and the best meals we’ve ever had! Top it all off with the cutest dog name Lola and compatriot Major, and our stay here was perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing! Loved every moment at Brown Shuggah Villa!

The reviews and the photos cannot describe the beauty of this villa. Making reservations and communicating with the hosts was easy, they were extremely helpful and accommodating. The transportation team was very friendly. The staff, there are no words that can describe this team of people including Lola (the dog) were extremely helpful friendly, they made us feel at home and make you want to come back to Brown Shuggah! Excellent food and drinks, service was great, the villa inside and out is extremely clean!

Simply Amazing!

Thankful for our family dream vacation
Brown Shuggah was the absolute best! The house and grounds were kept extremely clean and tidy. The views were spectacular and we could not have asked for a better staff. Paradise and Oasis
We have travelled to Jamaica many times, and this is going to become our "go to" villa going forward. The pictures are beautiful, but in reality the property is breathtaking. The location, the staff, the hospitality, was top notch. There was no need left uncared for. What we didn't have the staff provided or prepared. We felt like royalty. The host also left a personalized note and gift which was a warm touch. If anyone stays here the only disappointment they will have is leaving! Thank you so much for making this stay memorable. Tranquility At The Center Of It All! Amazing Team! Amazing Property!
We are overwhelmed by how positive our experience was. The views, food, excursions, and rooms were only eclipsed by the amazingly kind, professional and always-at-our-service staff at Brown Shuggah. Brown Shuggah is home to some of the best service, best food, best views, and best experiences my 7 guests could have ever imagined. We don't normally travel with this large of a group, nor to destinations this beautiful, nor with services like those at Brown Shuggah. We do however count our blessings we took the plunge and dove head first into luxury -- to be gently landed into our wildest dreams with the best of the best. Upon arrival to Brown Shuggah at the Chukka Polo Grounds we were greeted with a magnificent tour of our temporary, but tastefully lavish, accommodations. Like a country farmhouse in paradise - set amidst grottos, pristine landscaping and galloping ponies. Chef Marlon's cuisine from the traditional favorites like Akee and Salt Fish/Bammy/Festival and Escheivich Fish, or out-of-this-world dinner spreads fit for royalty were each as spectacular as the timing and his ability to shift timing on a dime. He is a champion of cuisine, but is also a shining light that all in the service industry should emulate. Romario, our Butler and all-around renaissance man, was the most kind, generous, knowledgeable and professional team member. No matter the request - Romario had us covered, always. Sophie's genuine care and attention to our guests before, during and at the conclusion of our stay was above-and-beyond. Each person felt truly appreciated by her attention to detail and gentle spirit. From tidying our rooms to keeping up with our group's laundry she was valiant and exacting in perfect timing - taking care to make each room like new each and every day. Foxy's attention to detail is very much integral to any guests' positive experience. From artfully maintaining the landscaping, to ensuring all foods and drinks were flowing at a luxurious rate. Foxy was on-point every step of the way. Brian's masterful hands manicured the perfect landscaping every day and should be celebrated any couture magazine. Lola, the beautiful and well groomed Sheppard mix, made sure to show us the way to all the amazing experiences around the property. She is far more than a dog. She made our stay feel like home. She's perfect and we are looking forward to petting her again soon. 10/10 and we can't wait to return!! D+M+7

***Best Vacay Ever***
We've lived all over the world to include Hawaii and Europe. This is by far the best week every anywhere. Very private. The most accommodating staff. Chef is in a class of his own...meals were amazing. Pool, lush green space, small cliffs, crystal clear water, just incredible...all within a few steps from the house on the property. Escape to paradise.
Our group of 8 fully enjoyed our girls trip stay at Brown Shuggah. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Marlon and Foxy prepared us delicious meals and the butler Mario was so accommodating without any fuss. Ms. Sophie the house keeper was sweet as pie and kept the place nice and tidy even after our crazy nights!! Brian kept the grounds looking great after all the wind and rain that passed through during our stay. We are already planning our return for next year! The property is exactly as pictured. We had a lot of rain but we were still able to have fun right at the villa. We had spa services come to the house and also a photographer for a photo shoot. We also did a sip and paint one evening. We were also able to venture out to shop and sight see. We enjoyed an excursion conveniently located within walking distance from the property. Overall it was a great experience.

Amazing week at Brown Shuggah
Our stay at Brown Shuggah was perfect in every way. Anna and Daniel have created a very special place and have thought of everything! The home and grounds are stunning and the staff could not be warmer or more welcoming. We were a group of 8 adults and 4 children ranging from 11 months to 6 years old. The spacious property abounds with comfortable areas where you can relax with others, play, or go off to a private spot with your favorite book. I was so thrilled to find the house so well suited for young children. We arrived to an already assembled Pack N Play for the baby, a highchair in the kitchen, and a lovely meal prepared on plastic plates for the little ones. There is so much to explore that the children did not need toys, but there are a number of pool floats, beach and pool toys, buckets, etc. as well as indoor toys like blocks and puzzles that came in handy on rainy days. The playset on the property and the protected beach cove made for hours of fun activity. The staff at the Villa is what really makes a stay here so remarkable. Marlon, Romario, Sophia, Foxxy, and the others treated us with such kindness and attended to every possible need. They all went above and beyond, especially with their loving attention to our children. I often found Sophia or Romario holding the baby or helping another child, while Foxxy showed the children fruit trees, lizards and Mr. Franklin, the house turtle. Foxxy also helped with serving and added so much joy to the total experience! Marlon thoughtfully prepared the childrens’ favorite foods, while Romario provided shirley temples, and poolside smoothies. Chef Marlon’s delicious meals for the whole family were remarkable and it was fun to learn about each dish. He catered to a variety of preferences /allergies with ease. Fresh flowers always adorned the table and Romario artfully set table with new linens daily. They both assisted us in planning various outings as well. Sophia is a marvelous housekeeper who kept the house in immaculate condition. After breakfast, you could always count on returning to a spotless room with a perfectly made bed and fresh towels. At night, the bed was turned down, the shutters and curtains closed, a/c or fan on, all to provide a lovely, quiet night of sleep. Anna and Daniel are gracious hosts who went out of their way to be helpful and to address any issues that arose. We highly recommend Brown Shuggah and can't wait to return!

Perfect stay!
We loved everything about our stay at Brown Shuggah Villa. It was absolutely amazing! We were two families traveling together with 5 children between us (ages 7-13). We decided to stay close to the villa all week and it did not disappoint. All the staff were friendly, kind and so loving towards our group. All the meals that were cooked were so wonderful! Everyone worked so hard to make us feel comfortable. The resident dog is the sweetest puppy too! We loved our stay and look forward to returning next year!

Great Birthday Getaway During the Pandemic
My friends and I had a wonderful time at Brown Shuggah. The staff is what made the stay so amazing. Chef Marlon's food was delicious! When he was off, Chris and Foxxy cooked and their food was fantastic as well. Each meal consisted of traditional and Jamaican dishes. The mac and cheese was so good, we requested it with every dinner! The first day of our stay was my birthday and the cake they ordered for me was exactly to my specifications and more!! The cake was the best I have ever had. It was so good that we ate it as a snack all week! The staff even sang happy birthday to me. Chris (the butler) would bring us beverages right on time, even without us asking. Not everyone was an alcohol drinker, so he made virgin cocktails that were just as delicious as the alcoholic beverages! It was so refreshing to relax in the pool and be surprised by Chris carrying a tray of yummy cocktails! Sophia kept the house immaculate! She would tend to our rooms daily and provide turn down service in the evening. She would do her work without us even noticing. Foxxy was also a joy to be around. His energy was amazing and he was always willing to help us with any of our needs. The pool and ground keepers kept the property pristine. Due to Covid, the group decided to just stay at the house for the week and not go out on excursions. There was so many things to do at the house, the days went by so fast. We chilled in the pool all day, played board games, line danced and watched movies all week. It was the perfect getaway during the pandemic! I was sad to leave and will miss the pool, amazing food and the awesome staff. I definitely will be returning to Brown Shuggah again!!!

Incredible Birthday Girls Trip!
For family vacations, anniversaries, girl's trips or any occasion you may have coming up, Brown Suggah will not disappoint! We stayed at Brown Suggah for my daughter's 13th birthday girl's trip with family. It was perfect! From the start Anna responded to all our questions quickly and even checked on us when we arrived at the airport to make sure we made it through customs and let us know about our driver. The villa is clean, grounds are always well kept and the staff was exceptional! They went above and beyond to make my daughter feel special and our family feel at home. From the turn down service at night, to the spectacular outdoor dining table, to the personalized menu with all my daughter's favorites, the staff is incredible and went way above and beyond. Everything Marlon, the chef, prepared was tasty and never disappointed. Fresh caught fish every day and authentic Jamaican dishes never disappointed. Chris, the butler, attended to every need and really made us feel comfortable, welcomed and at home. Sophia, Foxy and Brandon, made sure everything was clean from inside the home to outside on the grounds. Our driver, Pie Pie, made sure to get us safely to all the places we wanted to go, including local restaurants so we could get goat head soup! Even Lola, the house dog, was loveable and bonded with my daughter. Don't hesitate to stay at Brown Suggah, the pictures don't lie and you will not be disappointed!

Birthday Celebration
The stay at this villa was amazing! The staff took great care of us and ensured we had all that we needed! From COVID testing, to transportation, and even getting my luggage from the airport (JetBlue left my items in Florida and the staff made contacts and assisted with getting my items to the villa)! Everything was wonderful. The food was great, the views were amazing, and the staff was just overall amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe, easy, fun yet relaxing stay when visiting Jamaica. Thank you all so much!

Best vacation EVER!
I cannot say enough praise about Brown Suggah Villa! We were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday and it was a vacation of a lifetime. We were treated like royalty by the staff and they made our trip something we'll never forget. We've never experienced having a staff, but it far exceeded any expectations we had. Chris the butler took care of everything from serving us our meals, preparing us cocktails (many times reading our minds at the perfect time!), arranging transportation and great conversation. We were throughly stuffed the entire time by Marlon's amazing meals and loved learning about the local dishes, fruit and produce. Sophia kept our rooms tidy and cranked the ac down at night with turn down. Foxy shared his knowledge of wildlife and nature, and he showed us all the best places to snorkel. Bryan kept the grounds manicured and the landscaping is stunning. The 2 private coves for swimming and snorkeling were superb and the property's views are out of this world. We loved the privacy of the villa and ended up only leaving once. The house is gorgeous and everyone loved their rooms and commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were. We spent most of our time at the outside sitting areas so we could soak up the views. We also loved having Lola the dog greet us and stop by for visits. Thank you Brown Suggah staff for making it the best vacation any of us ever had!! We hope to come back again soon.

Fabulous property with 10 star staff
I do t think there is a single word to describe the amazingness of the experience we had at Brown Shuggah Villa. The house is beautiful, the views are remarkable and the staff (Marlon, Chris, Sophia, Foxxy, Brian and George) were wonderful. Chef Marlon prepared delicious meals — sooo much food! And Chris the Butler took take of all our questions and requests. We had never rented a villa like this before and we were all blown away by the experience. It was exactly what we wanted — total relaxation, being pampered in every way and having an amazing getaway with family and friends. HUGE thank you to Anna and Daniel and their team for a highly memorable vacation. Definitely in our top three of “bests” If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, go to Brown Shuggah. We plan to come back!

Girl's Trip Vol 1.
There is sooo much to say about Brown Suggah...from the staff, to the villa, the grounds, food, everything. It all starts from the moment that Anna and Daniel are contacted...they are extremely accommodating and easy to work with. When we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed like we were family. Chris made sure that EVERY need was met, down to my extra glass of ice at every meal, that I didn't have to remind him about. Sophie kept the place spotless and her smile and singing brightened my day. Marlin's cooking was PHENOMENAL....Kadesh (I know I'm spelling it wrong) was like having my brother with me...he was sooo fun to be around and kept the grounds spotless and beautiful. And last but definitely not least was the sweetest and most gentle man I've ever met, Mr. George...he made sure that the pool was spotless and took care of the grounds as well. He also took care of our four legged "parents" Bojangles and Lola....they kept an eye on us and became our protectors while at the villa. We'll never forget them getting mad at us for leaving them for a day trip...lol Pictures of this place did no justice, so rest assured that it's soo much more than what you see. We even had a bonfire on the last night of our trip that marked the birthday of a friend, so the staff's extra care with helping us celebrate her was above and beyond. We really hated to leave. THANK YOU SOO MUCH for all you do and notice this was Vol. 1 because there will be many more...we will be back..Much Love!!

Words cannot describe our experience
I truly cannot describe how amazing our experience was in words. The villa is beautiful, the amenities are perfect and plentiful, the grounds offer amazing ocean views for sunset and sunrise, there's plenty of space for friends and family, and there's a private secluded beach cove to top it all off! But by far the best part of our experience was the staff. Marlon's food was just perfect and he was so accommodating our some of our groups dietary restrictions! Sophia was amazing at keeping the house spotless and George kept the yard in perfect condition for us. Last and certainly not least, Gary was so an amazing butler, so much so that at times if felt like he was reading our minds. Anytime we wanted beverages or snacks or anything else, it seems like Gary was already preparing it before we even asked. This was the best trip my wife and I have ever taken and we will definitely be back to visit our new friends Marlon, Sophia, Gary, George, and Foxy!

Second Stay Even Better
Our stay could not have been more perfect. I could not think of any place I would rather be. The house is beautiful, secure, well maintained and perfectly located: right on the ocean, with the waves crashing on the rocks right in front of us. The people taking care of us took the experience to a different level, taking care of our every need and desire. The chef cooked traditional Jamaican food that was to die for. Our hosts participated in our games, engaged in our conversations, and we were very sad to say goodbye. The property had large grounds for walking and playing, horseback riding only a short walk away, and a 15 feet cliff dive for the adventurous. This is our second time there and it will not be the last.

Amazing time at Brown Suggah
The staff at Brown Suggah was incredible. Their attention to detail and anticipation of our needs was impeccable. Myself and 6 friends stayed for a long weekend and wanted for nothing. The food was so fresh and delicious. The property was spectacular. We had fresh cut tropical plants in every room. The pictures do not do it justice at all. We cannot wait to return!

Service like this doesn’t exist elsewhere
This is our second year visiting Brown Shuggah. We celebrated a graduation and several birthdays during this difficult Corona time and were so thrilled to be able to still have this trip. My husband and I and 5 teen boys spent 9 days on holiday there. My husband and I travel extensively for work globally and generally stay at Four Sesaons, Ritz properties, or similar. The level of attention and personal touches provided at BS far surpasses anything we’ve experienced in any of our travels without exception. Shawn and Sophie set up private dinners for us to enjoy adult chatter and the ambience was like nothing we’ve experienced elsewhere. Candles, flowers, music. Every detail was unparalleled. Shawn and my boys played soccer and chatted about scores and my boys were immediately enthralled with him. Chef Michael is pure magic in his craft. We asked to eat only local food and successfully gained several pounds enjoying THE most amazing cuisine. Leaving Jamaica is always hard... leaving Brown Shuggah is awful. Our family will be back for years to come.

A True Piece of Rugged Paradise
The setting, the people, the relaxation. That pretty much sums up the fantastic experience we had as a young family of 5 at BSV. The house is exactly as described, with wonderful grounds for kids to run around with abandon. The sandy cove/plunge is a perfect mix of safety with a hint of danger (we brought a 3 month old, 3 year old and 5 year old down daily). But the real reason BSV shines is the people. Sean, Michael, Sophia, George and Fox were wonderful to each of us and we valued their help to curate our vacation. It was a dream to actually relax. We will be back, but not soon enough!

Brown Shuggah so sweet!
From the stunning vistas to the attentive staff, brown shuggah was a dream come true for our multi-generational family. Our two children had endless fun spending time poolside and adventuring to the secluded beach cove that was certain once a hideaway for pirate treasure. The open concept home brought in the sea breeze with every breath keeping us cool as we enjoyed the Jamaican sunshine. Stephanie the chef delighted us with classic Jamaican dishes nightly and had our breakfasts ready at our pleasure. Sophie attended to the housekeeping with care while Sharndee made sure no request was too much. George dutifully maintained the grounds our entire stay. We were truly spoiled by the wonderful staff! From start to finish, the experience was relaxing while our every request was taken care of whether it was excursion organization or hand crafted cocktails by the pool. We will be back and can't recommend enough! Brown Shuggah truly feels like a little slice of heaven

Sweet as Brown Shuggah! Jamaican paradise
One of a kind vacation, property and staff! Sharndee(Shawn), Sophie and Stephanie knew what we needed before we did! They made our whole family feel so comfortable and welcome! George and Kadish kept the grounds and pool spotless! Such an amazing property, the photos don’t begin to show the paradise it is! Pie Pie and Starboy made sure we were always taken with care to and from our destinations. Our family was able to relax and enjoy each other, no worries, no rushing just much needed time together. Anna and Daniel thank you for sharing your little bit of paradise with us! We will absolutely be back and hopefully soon! One Love.

Sweet Brownshuggah
Had a great time at this well appointed villa. Rolling from the living space out into the pool then onto the lawn and into the sea. Perfect. The staff were amazing. Highly recommended living.
