Fantastiska Cornwall och St Austell
Kan verkligen rekommendera att ta en tur till härliga Cornwall och St Austell. Vi bodde för 3:dje ggn på Carlyon Bay som ligger fantastiskt vid vattnet och vilken utsikt! Hotellet är toppen med god och maffig frukost. Servicen är bra och rummen fina och mycket välstädade. Det enda negativa är att sängarna är lite väl mycket använda och hade behövts bytas ut. Annars är detta en fantastisk semesterort och underbart hotell. Vi kommer att åka dit flera ggr till.

Hotellet ligger fantastiskt med härlig havsutsikt. Tyckte det mesta var bra med härliga frukostar osv. Alla var vänliga och trevliga förutom de personer som satt i receptionen. När vi skulle hem så ville vi kunna låna en dator och checka in på. Det hade de aldrig hört talas om. Det skulle ringas och frågas en manager om vi fick detta. Det fanns ingen annan dator än den som var inne i receptionen så efter mycket om och men fick vi gå innanför receptionsdisken och boka vår incheckning hem på planet. Sedan dagen därpå när vi skulle checka ut så fick vi en rejäl räkning med hela hotellvistelsen på räkningen. Vi förklarade att vi hade betalt hemifrån Stockholm och att vi hade kvitto. Damen var påstridig och sa nej att det hade vi inte. När vi sa att vi skulle ringa till vår betalningsmottagare då plötsligt hittade hon vår betalning. Det var inte slut med det för när vi sedan skulle betala för de endast 2st öl vi köpt påstod de att vi hade ätit i restaurangen och skulle beatala ca 80 pund. De hade inte fått nägon underskrift på ett kvitto och då satt upp detta på oss. Inte klokt. Vi var väldigt besvikna på detta och sa till att ett sådant här hotell borde ha en bättre koll på sina gäster. Efter en del tjafs så fick vi rätt. Vi fick inte ens en ursäkt. Så dåligt. Annars ett bra hotell.

Stunning view
Lovely hotel. In great condition and the staff are friendly and attentive. Won't hesitate to return. The only negative was that as my room was by the lift an early riser woke me at 5 in the morning. But can't complain too much. The stunning view of the sea made the trip

The room was lovely and everyone was very friendly when being greeted however when going for a meal group of other couples were very loud and we had to leave the resturant to enjoy the remaining time of the night together. The waiter was brilliant and did apologise but I feel if they respected the resturant our stay would have been better. Also we were informed the gold course would have a buggie we then got to the course and buggies were not permitted at this time. The hotel should be informed of this as this also disapointed us.

A beautiful gem
There are few places you could find more quintessentially English than a Seaside Hotel, The Carlyon Bay Hotel is exceptional, wonderful and timelessly beautiful. You will not find better customer service, spectacular views and a sense of quiet calm. A little weekend break made very special by the staff, I could not fault a single thing ❤

Excellent October stay
A really nice, pleasant 2 night stay in October. First time staying and a very warm welcome from all and throughout the service was excellent. Tiny issue being the temperature a couple of times, once at breakfast and in the bar, a little overwhelming. Cleanliness and appearance cannot be faulted. Will look to stay again .

Super hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were so welcoming. Facilities excellent, we parked up and didn't leave the local area, walked everywhere. Swimming pool, spa facilities and golf (nine hole and putting green) all included in the cost. Free bits for our daughter were a real bonus, she particularly loved the packed lunch! Hotel entertainment was really good quality as well, casino and having our caricature done were highlights.

Lovely hotel and grounds. Food and service were very good although housekeeping knocked and entered our room without waiting for a response before we had even checked out or had breakfast at 9am! My husband leapt up to respond to the door and flashed her as she went to enter the room. Maybe wait until people check out to clean the rooms in future or at the very least give guests a chance to respond to you before you enter the room. It was a shock (probably for her too) but it did make us laugh!

Lovely location, facilities, and friendly staff. Limited parking and decor could do with updating throughout. The room was quite small and stuffy (no air conditioning). Although the facilities made up for it, for the room quality, it is overpriced.

Great hotel in a stunning location, facilities were great we used the spa, both pools and the golf course. The beach is a short walk away and Charlestown is only a 20 min walk along the coast path and well worth a visit.

A wonderful stay here at the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Facilities are very good indeed. Great sea view. Jason was particularly helpful on several occasions. Parking is a little challenging at busy times.
